PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SQUEE! #2 COMIC BOOK!
OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND FIRST ISSUE COLLECTOR'S ITEM SPINNING OFF SQUEE FROM THE PAGES OF JHOHEN VASQUEZ'S JOHNNY THE HOMICIDAL MANIAC INTO HIS OWN COMIC BOOK.
Johen Vasquez is the creator of Invader Zim.
Squee is a fictional character in Jhonen Vasquez's comic book Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, who later received his own four-issue series, published by Slave Labor Graphics.
This series focuses on a young boy named Todd Casil, otherwise known as Squee. A quiet, introverted, and bullied little kid with a less than supportive family, Squee has been forced to mature a bit more quickly than his peers. He is fond of writing, but only receives criticism from his teacher and taunting from his classmates. Any attempts he makes to deflect these hostilities only results in being shoved into the dirt or otherwise further humiliated. Squee's mother is addicted to some form of pill, possibly prescription pain killers (it is never specified), and spends a lot of time lying around in a nearly incoherent state. She often forgets who Squee is, or that she even has a child. His father, painfully aware of Squee's existence, loathes the boy and never forgets to mention that he blames Squee for 'ruining' his life (obviously he found nothing positive in parenthood).
Squee also has a grandfather who justifiably believes his children are only waiting for him to die to collect some kind of inheritance. His grandfather claims to keep healthy and young by consuming his children's first-borns, and subsequently attempts to devour Squee, only to reveal in horrifying fashion that he is, in fact a cyborg and quite possibly insane. Squee's next door neighbor is Johnny C, aka "Nny" (pronounced knee), the main character of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. "Nny" regularly visits Squee late at night by breaking into his room. JTHM focused more on the 'mentoring' or 'big brother' aspect of "Nny" and Squee's relationship, but little interaction occurs in Squee!, aside from the occasional drawing or note left in Squee's room, or short references to 'the crazy neighbor man'.
Squee has only one friend, albeit a possibly imaginary one, the dilapidated teddy bear affectionately referred to as Shmee.
THIS ITEM WAS ONLY AVAILABLE IN COMIC BOOK SPECIALTY SHOPS AND CANNOT BE FOUND IN ANY MASS MARKET RETAIL OUTLET.

STAR TREK THE LOST YEARS BOOK
RARE AND OUT OF PRINT!
For fans of the classic Science Fiction Television series STAR TREK! This is a vintage collector's item detailing the series that could have been between The Original Series and The Motion Picture.
Edward Gross (author)
Pioneer
121 pages
Blurb
Star Trek has the largest fan following of any television show ever created. There are dozens of books covering every aspect of the history of the television series and the movies. Except for one time period -- the lost years between the time the television series left the air and the day the first movie arrived in the theaters.
No book has ever detailed the incredible story of the second coming of Star Trek, the major attempt to revive the television series in the late '70s. Although new characters were created, an entire cast was signed, a creative crew was hired and scripts were written, not one episode was ever filmed. Just before shooting commenced, the decision was made to go with a feature film instead.
The story of this Star Trek that never was is one of creativity and backstabbing, heroism and tragedy... careful planning and last minute changes. The behind the scenes story was as exciting as any adventure ever filmed.
Author Edward Gross talked to all of the key players; from the story editor to the man that would have replaced Spock; he sorted through piles of production notes to learn the whole story. He presents the exciting events in very readable fashion and includes an analysis of the scripts and outlines that would have sent the Starship Enterprise and her crew on a whole new five year mission.
These are the adventures that could have happened if the feature films hadn't appeared instead. This is the lost chapter of Star Trek history, the complete tale of the lost years.

Our Cancer Year (Paperback)
by Harvey Pekar (Author), Joyce Brabner (Author), Frank Stack (Illustrator)
Product Description
It was they year of Desert Storm that Harvey Pekar and his wife, Joyce Brabner, discovered Harvey had cancer. Pekar, a man who has made a profession of chronicling the Kafkaesque absurdities of an ordinary life (if any life is ordinary) suddenly found himself incapacitated. But he had a better-than-average chance to beat cancer and he took it — kicking, screaming, and complaining all the way. Pekar and Brabner draw on this and other trials to paint a portrait of a man beset with fears real and imagined — who survives.
"This is a story about a year when someone was sick, about a time when it seemed that the rest of the world was sick, too." So begins Harvey Pekar and Joyce Brabner's painful comic book autobiography centering on the year that they found out that Pekar had cancer; the year that also saw Operation Desert Shield turn into Operation Desert Storm. Drawing upon the many personal trials they faced, Pekar and Brabner create a portrait of a man beset with fears both real and imagined.
Joined by his wife and collaborator Brabner and illustrator Stack, Pekar's (The New American Splendor Anthology) first book-length comics narrative is by turns amusing, frightening, moving and quietly entertaining. As always, Pekar's work records his apparently ordinary life as a hospital clerk in Cleveland while simultaneously capturing the epiphanic combination of mundanity and awkward, sporadic nobility of everyday life. In 1990, Pekar was diagnosed with lymphoma and needed chemotherapy. By the time the disease was discovered, the couple was in the midst of buying a house (a tremendous worry to Pekar, who fretted about both the money and corruptions of bourgeois creature comforts). Brabner, a self-described "comic book journalist," had to oversee both the new house and a sick and very difficult husband. Pekar's cancer treatment and suffering will take your breath away, but there's a happy ending; and the book (and their marriage) is distinguished by Brabner's great tenderness and determination in the middle of Pekar's medical nightmare. Stack's brisk and elegantly gestural black-and-white drawings wonderfully delineate this captivating story of love, community, recuperation and international friendship.
* Paperback: 252 pages
* Publisher: Running Press (October 12, 1994)
* Language: English
* ISBN-10: 1568580118
* ISBN-13: 978-1568580111
* Product Dimensions: 10 x 8 x 0.6 inches
This is the most impressive nonfiction graphic novel since Art Spiegelman's Maus. Pekar is the hospital worker-author of the autobiographical comic, American Splendor, and Brabner, his wife, is a peace activist-journalist working in the comics form. Not artists themselves, they have collaborated with many illustrators over the years and here with one of Pekar's favorites, Frank Stack. Stack's fluid line and strong compositional skills in both single panels and whole pages do much to grab and hold us as Pekar and Brabner re-create the awful year when, having already decided to move from the apartment they had lived in for 10 years (and he for 9 more before) to a house, she became involved in a complicated project, and he undertook grueling chemotherapy for cancer. It's doubtful that any medium other than the comics could make the commonly unusual ingredients of their story--suffering drug side effects, getting on each other's nerves just when you feel you shouldn't, hassling with home repairs, etc.--so compelling. Few prose-only cancer survivors' accounts are as good.

Black and white photos pepper this coverage.

* Product Dimensions: 9.6 x 7.2 x 0.7 inches
The beautiful Shirley Eaton has written an impressive, fascinating autobiography that tells you everything you ever wanted to know about her life and about the classic James Bond film, "Goldfinger." Miss Eaton played the "golden girl" who was suffocated to death by gold paint early in the film -- her playful scenes with Sean Connery are among the best in the whole series of Bond films, and the image of her covered in gold paint is one of the icons of '60s cinema (landing her on the cover of Life magazine in '64). Miss Eaton tells all the behind-the-scenes stories of that film, making this book a must-have for Bond fans. What's more, she chronicles her own life and long career in witty, intelligent fashion, proving herself to be not just a lovely, talented actress but an inspiration for others. Especially fun are her reviews of other actresses -- Miss Eaton's critiques are insightful and on the money. If you don't know much about Shirley Eaton, you should, and this book is the best way to see what she's really like.

Includes Prose pieces... MIDNIGHT IN THE SUNKEN CATHEDRAL and I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I MUST SCREAM.
Book Description
Harlan Ellison is surely one of the most creative thinkers of our time -- his stories of the fantastic have captured the imaginations of millions of people over the last four decades. In this trade paperback, some of the comics industry's wildest and most original talents adapt Ellison's greatest stories to the comic-book format. Renowned illustrators bring to life such award-winning stories as "Knox," and "Turnpike". Ellison's interstitial pages -- introducing and commenting on the adaptations are transmogrified into art by famed OZ artist Eric Shanower. If you've ever wondered what preoccupies the mind of a creative genius, just take a walk down Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor.
An illustrated character (Ellison himself) takes the reader into his "corridor of dreams" where all the stories he ever wrote are stored in departments. He guides us through the humungous building and opens a department every now and then. Everytime he does the tour is interrupted and we get to read a selected short story ( a window-tale if you will), adapted into comicdom by different people
Unlike authors who agree to have their work adapted to comics yet remain distant from the finished product, Harlan Ellison loves comics and loves that he has his own comic book. Dream Corridor is essential for die-hard Ellison fans, not only because of the adaptations of his short stories, but also because it contains prose pieces.
If you're not familiar with Ellison's work, Dream Corridor is a great sampler, and it's loaded with a diversity of art styles with illustrations by top-notch artists.

Ten years have passed since the near-destruction of planet Earth at the hands of the Zentraedi and the subsequent annihilation of the Zentraedi Grand Fleet. On Earth, civilization continues to mend in the wake of this global apocylapse; while aboard the captured Robotech Factory Satellite in orbit, the Super Dimension Fortress Three has been constructed to complete a mission vital to the survival of the Earth. This vessel, manned by the greatest heroes of the Robotech war and a new generation raised in the war's aftermath, is to travel to the homeworld of the Robotech Masters, the moon Tirol, in an attempt to prevent a second Robotech war--a war which the people of Earth fear their world would be unable to survive. However, when the fortress arrives in Tirolspace, Tirol is found to have been conquered by a new foe--the slug-like Invid.

GI JOE ORDER OF BATTLE #1. THE OFFICIAL GI JOE HANDBOOK
OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEMS. #1
Published in 1986.
GI JOE ORDER OF BATTLE was a series published by Marvel Comics in late 1986. Not a comic book in the ordinary sense of the word, instead it contained illustrated biographies describing current GI JOES of that period.
Basically compiles the character file cards from the GI JOE packaging, although there are some differences.
With that knowledge in mind, it's no exaggeration to say that the GI JOE ORDER OF BATTLE is an invaluable source of information.
The first issue has bios of members of the G.I. Joe team in alphabetical order from A-L.
Characters Profiled: Ace, Airborne, Air-Tight, Alpine, Barbeque, Bazooka, Beach Head, Blow Torch, Breaker, Cover Girl, Crank-Case, Cross-Country, Cutter, Deep Six, Dial-Tone, Doc, Duke, Dusty, Flash, Flint, Footloose, Frostbite, Grunt, Gung-Ho, Hawk, Heavy Metal, Iceberg, Lady Jaye, Leatherneck, Lifeline, Lift-Ticket, Low-Light.

STAR WARS 3-D #2 COMIC BOOK 1988 RAREST LOW PRINT RUN!!

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
STAR WARS 3-D #2 COMIC BOOK!
HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM. THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST STAR WARS COMICS EVER!
Published in 1988 by the indie comic book company Blackthorne, this has an EXTREMELY LOW PRINT RUN because this was a period where very little in the way of Star Wars product was still being produced.
Star Wars 3-D is an unusual and long-forgotten title. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of the release of Star Wars, it was one of the few titles published in the United States outside the offices of Marvel or Dark Horse.
Undoubtedly the reason it went to Blackthorne in the first place was because they had built experience publishing in 3-D prior to obtaining their limited Star Wars license. Lucas, as his recent efforts to convert the existing movies into 3-D attests, was likely fascinated by the prospect of doing something "special" for the anniversary. And so Star Wars went briefly to a minor publisher.
it stood alone for around 20 years as the only comic printed after the completion of the original trilogy which was set entirely between Episodes IV and V. Indeed, there are few novels which have been published in that period.
And its stories did attempt to add something new to the mythos. It rationally answered questions that were largely ignored by the trilogy:
• Who got the Lars farm on Tatooine after Luke?
• Following the destruction of the first Death Star, did the Rebels really have time to build that base on Hoth all by themselves?
• And when, really, was the first time Luke did battle with Darth Vader?
Luke and Han depart Tatooine following their last 3-D adventure.
They head back to the Rebel base on Yavin 4, only to find it encircled by Imperial forces. Han craftily lands the Falcon near one of the Rebel bases on the planet, but it's abandoned. The duo lift off again, hoping that a coded message from Leia will lead them to the fleet's location. It does, but Leia and the other leaders are now desperate to find a new base. Han suggests Hoth, an ice planet far removed from normal space traffic.
Leia approves a plan to scout the planet for possible habitability. Heading out into the snow, the duo take the Rebels' first, tentative steps on Hoth.
Unbeknownst to both, smuggler Salmakk has made Hoth his home. From his base, he plans to capture Han and turn him in for Jabba's still-unclaimed bounty.
How Luke and Han get out of their first tricky situation on Hoth paves the way for the foundation of Echo Base . . .
