RARE AND OUT OF PRINT!
GRAPHIC NOVELS STARRING GREEN ARROW AKA OLIVER QUEEN, THE SUPERHERO PORTRAYED BY JUSTIN HARTLEY IN THE POPULAR TELEVISION SHOW SMALLVILLE.
Oliver Queen was a millionaire with a mission. He had practiced for years to hone his skill with bow and arrow; and when the time came, he decided to use his talents to fight crime. Armed only with his trusted longbow, he became the adventurer known as the Green Arrow.
Although Ollie first appeared back in 1941 in the pages of More Fun Comics #73, the character was reinvented in Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters. the team of Mike Grell, Ed Hannigan, and Dick Giordano is took Green Arrow.
Created by ace adventure-writer Mike Grell, The Longbow Hunters is widely recognized as one of the finest Green Arrow stories. It begins with Green Arrow stalking a slasher who preyed on prostitutes. But when Arrow finally found his quarry, he was in for a surprise: the slasher had been killed by a single, black arrow. Apparently, there was a new archer in town.
But the slasher was not the only victim. A growing list of middle-aged men were being found dead, killed by similar arrows. The only common factor seemed to be that the victims were middle-aged men with no military records.
Arrow followed the trail, eventually coming face-to-face with a beautiful young woman named Shado who wielded a very deadly bow. Inevitably, their lives would intertwine, and Arrow would find himself drawn into her personal quest for revenge.
