JURASSIC PARK COMIC BOOK DINOSAURS MICHAEL CRICHTON RAPTOR GEORGE PEREZ
JURASSIC PARK COMIC BOOK!
OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM.
from the creative team of WALT SIMONSON, GIL KANE, and GEORGE PEREZ
The idea for Jurassic Park was created by science-fiction writer Michael Crichton, and went on to become the most successful movie of its time. It told of how scientists managed to clone dinosaur DNA found in amber, reproducing dinosaurs in the modern day. The experiment’s financial backers decided to feature their discovery in Jurassic Park: an island where tourists could view dinosaurs in their native habitat. Only the dinosaurs escaped, turning a theme park into a horror show.
Scientists have perfected a process for cloning the DNA from species long dead into full-fledged, living animals. But the animals they are most interested in recreating are not the dodo bird or some other recently extinct species. From blood taken by a primordial mosquito, who was subsequently trapped in amber, it became possible to recreate the DNA of dinosaurs. Thanks to the funding of an eccentric billionaire, an entire island was populated with creatures who existed before the dawn of mankind. The billionaire pictured this as the ultimate, wild animal amusement park—“Jurassic Park”—where humans could safely view the well-contained dinosaurs. But nature—and the dinosaurs—had other plans!
