Taking place between the present and 400 years in the past, it is the story of how the gypsy Rose worked once with an incarnation of Areala, and how she will do so again very, very soon. After a disturbing dream about an ancient evil and a gypsy who fought it, Sisters Shannon and Bernadette seek out a group of gypsies in New York for answers. In the meantime, Rose continues to remember her encounter with another Areala three centuries ago. Rose, having found the incarnation of Areala she has been seeking out for three centuries, reveals herself and "kidnaps" Shannon to tell her the full story. Father Gomez calls for assistance in finding Shannon - Magic Priest Father Fang responds to the summons, and Shannon speaks with an Areala of the past to determine the truthfulness of Rose's story.
