YEARS BEFORE the Robert Kirkman comic book series and AMC TV show, there was ANOTHER unrelated comic book about a small town Sheriff battling zombie hordes.
Jim Somerville created, wrote, and illustrated The Walking Dead, a black-and-white horror comic from Aircel. The Walking Dead shares the same premise as the movie, Night of The Living Dead. In each issue, a group of humans continually fight a horde of undead monsters who are out to take over the world.

Based on the original 2000 MANIACS, a Classic low budget 1964 splatter film directed and written by the legendary Herschell Gordon Lewis.
adapts one of the more grisly—yet strangely compelling—slasher movies to come down the road. Herschell Gordon Lewis’ 2000 Maniacs is set in the deep South, in the innocuous sounding town of Pleasant Valley. Six travelers heading down a nearby road found themselves detoured into Pleasant Valley, where they were enticed into becoming the guests of honor at the town’s Centennial Celebration.
Little did they know that the town was run by Yankee-hating maniacs—a whole town of them. And when the mayor invited them to the barbecue that night, they never dreamed that they would be on the menu!
This is an extremely rare issue, published by AIRCEL in 1991.
