TAROT #30 WITCH OF THE BLACK ROSE JIM BALENT WICCA SEXY SHE WOLF WEREWOLVES RARE

TAROT WITCH OF THE BLACK ROSE #63 COMIC BOOK

Written and drawn by JIM BALENT.

In Old Salem town, two sisters, both disciples of Wicca, or witchcraft, fight an epic battle in a centuries-long war for the acceptance and ascendance of witchcraft on earth. Raven Hex seeks to destroy nonbelievers while resurrecting her dead father, using any magical means necessary. Meanwhile Tarot, the “good witch,” aided by the strange Skeleton Man (a cemetery worker who can see the dead), hopes to stop her evil sister and all those who serve the powers of darkness. Jim Balent, who made his mark as an artist on DC’s Catwoman, writes and draws this modern day ghost story. He spins an interesting and spooky tale, and his women are, as always, beautiful (although almost ridiculously buxom). But more than the art and story, Balent is to be commended for his efforts to portray witchcraft and Wicca in a positive light, as his letter column and bonus interviews with real-life practicing witches attest.

"The She-Wolf of Salem"

*The trap is set. Teeth and claws are ready for the kill. Only it's the wrong prey that triggers the the trap. The Skeleton Man finds himself in a life or death battle between a pack of werewolves and a bloody thirsty werewolf hunter. There is no silver bullet to help our hero this time.

"Pesky Pixies"

*It's the Spring Equinox and everything is awakening from the long winter sleep. Unfortunately that includes pesky pixies. One of whom steals the Black Rose birthmark right off Tarot's back! Joins us for Tarot's 5th year anniversary as she battles her way through the fairy realm to regain her birthmark. Makes a great jumping on point for new readers as well as another exciting read for her devoted fans!
