Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat was adapted for comics by Innovation in the early 90s in a 12 issue maxi-series. This companion series is filled with source book like material on the characters and themes in Rice’s novels, interviews with the author herself and further interviews with the various creators involved in the adaptation. With a painted cover by John Bolton (Vertigo’s Gifts of the Night, Batman: Manbat) and an interview with series cover painter Chris Moeller (Batman: Shadow of the Bat), readers are a afforded a unique look at the development of the adaptation and the creation of the original popular series of novels by Rice.


This comic book was never available for sale in any mass market retail outlet and could only be found in comic book specialty stores.
