JURASSIC PARK COMIC BOOK DINOSAURS MICHAEL CRICHTON RAPTOR GEORGE PEREZ

JURASSIC PARK COMIC BOOK! OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM. from the creative team of WALT SIMONSON, GIL KANE, and GEORGE PEREZ The idea for Jurassic Park was created by science-fiction writer Michael Crichton, and went on to become the most successful movie of its time. It told of how scientists managed to clone dinosaur DNA found in amber, reproducing dinosaurs in the modern day. The experiment’s financial backers decided to feature their discovery in Jurassic Park: an island where tourists could view dinosaurs in their native habitat. Only the dinosaurs escaped, turning a theme park into a horror show. Scientists have perfected a process for cloning the DNA from species long dead into full-fledged, living animals. But the animals they are most interested in recreating are not the dodo bird or some other recently extinct species. From blood taken by a primordial mosquito, who was subsequently trapped in amber, it became possible to recreate the DNA of dinosaurs. Thanks to the funding of an eccentric billionaire, an entire island was populated with creatures who existed before the dawn of mankind. The billionaire pictured this as the ultimate, wild animal amusement park—“Jurassic Park”—where humans could safely view the well-contained dinosaurs. But nature—and the dinosaurs—had other plans! TYRANNOSAURUS REX 2 COMIC BOOKS TREX DINOSAURS TYRANT!!

TYRANT 2 COMIC BOOKS.
THE LIFE OF TYRANNOSAURUS REX!

written and drawn by STEVE BISSETTE (SWAMP THING)

VINTAGE COLLECTOR'S ITEM!

The Tyrant in the title is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and this comic is a biography of one particular thunder lizard. No, not a mutant T. Rex with human level intelligence or one somehow alive in the present, but a detailed look at what the life of one of these famous dinosaurs might have been like. The life starts from the very beginning, which details its development in the egg.

Backup text features provide information on reference materials and other uses of Tyrannosaurus Rexes in media. The writer/artist is Stephen Bissette, known for his art on Swamp Thing and work with the Taboo anthology. Like the Cartoon History of the Universe (but without its humor), Tyrant shows how the comics medium can be used both to tell a good story and to be educational.

TWISTED TALES #3

RICHARD CORBEN UNDERGROUND HORROR COMIC!

WRITTEN BY BRUCE JONES!

For fans of RICHARD CORBEN's unique style of extreme Fantasy and Horror. Underground Comic Book Anthology with lavish full color artwork printed on high quality paper.

Also featuring other acclaimed artists such as DOUG WILDEY, BRET BLEVINS, and BILL WRAY.
If you are old enough to remember Corben's classic work, then this book is a reminder of the unique place he holds in comics history. If you are relatively new and unfamiliar with RC, then Twisted Tales is an excellent introduction to the man.

Hitting most of the highlights that characterize Corben's oeuvre - grotesque imagery, violence, monsters, and sexy damsels - serve as platforms for both excellent storytelling and technically accomplished art.

PUBLISHED BY PACIFIC COMICS IN 1982.

All of the stories in the entire run of Twisted Tales were written by Jones, who had shown a knack for horror a decade before when he was employed as a scripter for Warren Publishing, writing for their Creepy and Eerie titles. Jones, a self-described "child of the 50’s", was heavily influenced by the horror and science fiction movies of that decade. But as noted in his editorial in Issue #1, his chief inspiration was the bloody and ironically moralistic tales of the EC horror comics such as TALES FROM THE CRYPT. His work in Twisted Tales, often utilizing twist endings, added huge dollops of graphic violence and sexy sensuality to the EC formula.
