HOME GROWN FUNNIES UNDERGROUND COMIC BOOK
BY THE LEGENDARY ROBERT CRUMB
This was Kitchen Sink Press' best-selling underground comic book of all time, with sales of over 150,000 copies. The reason for its popularity was simple. Other than a secondary 3-page lead story featuring Mr. Snoid and Angelfood McSpade, the book consists almost entirely of the legendary "Whiteman Meets Bigfoot" story. Whiteman, an everyman caucasian, is initially kidnapped by the dark, large and furry Yeti, but he eventually falls in love with her and has no desire to return to civilization. Its length and upbeat message is not typical of the often-cyncial Robert Crumb.

MARVEL SUPERHEROES ADVENTURE GAMEBOOK
UNCANNY X-MEN: AN X-CELLENT DEATH
OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM.
Published in 1987 by TSR, the creators of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS.
You play a troupe of four X-Men (Wolverine, Rogue, Storm and Nightcrawler) investigating a United States government project gone wrong. Along the way you'll have to deal with corrupt government officials, ninja assassins and another mysterious evil agency.
One of this book's good features is the ability to control not one character, but a team of four, and this is done in such an original way it really deserves mention. The way multiple characters are handled here is very different from those found in other series.
Besides its originality, the book provides a suspense-filled and complex storyline, and will be appreciated by Marvel Comics fans, since its continuity appears to be in keeping with key events from the comic books of that era.
This is very much worth your while both to see the way multiple characters are handled and as a gamebook in its own right.
This series of gamebooks uses a system similar to that of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Gamebooks, which isn't surprising, since it's also a spin-off of a TSR role-playing game. In each volume, the reader controls one or more characters from Marvel comics. Each character comes with a set of pre-defined attributes which are combined with dice rolls and compared with target numbers in order to perform actions. Characters also have Health Points (which are self-explanatory) and Karma Points (which change as a result of good or bad deeds and which may be spent to improve dice rolls). The books were first published in the United States by TSR.

Product Description
More scary comics stories sure to shock!
The original EC comicbook series inspired a generation of young filmmakers, including Stephen Spielberg, John Carpenter, and George Lucas, as well as authors such as Stephen King and R.L. Stine. Who knows which future superstars' minds will be warped by this volume's collection of creepy comics?
TALES FROM THE CRYPT is the acknowledged premier horror comic of all time.
The original series suspended publication over fifty years ago. Papercutz has obtained the exclusive rights to revive this frightful franchise and to create all-new TALES FROM THE CRYPT comics, in our full-color digest-sized format. The debut volume features four tales of terror:
"Body of Work," reveals how two nosy and somewhat murderous neighbors discover the shocking inspiration for Jack Kroll's outsider artwork. "Runway Roadkill" presents a behind the scenes look at what is destined to be fashion designer Kimberly Kinselling's final show. "For Serious Collectors Only" proves that even connoisseurs of Japanese action figures should always carefully read the labels-or risk deadly consequences.
"The Tenant" features the fearsome fate of slumlord James Winchell, who, after one of his tenants dies due to his neglect, is forced to live in one of his buildings by a creepy
cemetery. All stories, painfully introduced by the perpetually-punning

Product Description
Civil war wracks the Isles of the Dawn. You are a young farmer, unaffected by the turmoil until chaos strikes. A roving band of mercenaries ransacks your village, killing your father and enslaving your mother. This injustice must be righted!
Arcane creatures, martial monks and battle-hardened warriors must all be overcome, as your quest for justice leads you from your quiet village to the very Court of the God-King!
The Crimson Tide is a single-player roleplaying gamebook written by Paul Mason, illustrated by Terry Oakes and originally published in 1992 by Puffin Books.
It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series. It is the 47th in the series in the original Puffin series (ISBN 0-14-034555-8).
This gamebook is set in the Isles of Dawn, a region on Titan similar to ancient China. The player takes the role of a young boy seeking vengeance on the mercenaries that burned down his village, killed his father and kidnapped his mother. The character can go on to train in martial arts at a monastery and progresses through a series of adventures before finally attaining the Sacred Sword of Tsui and confronting the leader of the mercenaries.
Unlike other Fighting Fantasy books the player character ages over the course of the story, beginning as a young boy with low SKILL and STAMINA scores. As the book progresses, the player increases in age, and the scores increase to reflect this. There is also a special attribute, FURY.

FIGHTING FANTASY GAMEBOOK

Product Description
Life is lawless and dangerous. Survivors like you either live in scattered, fortified towns or roam outside as bandits. YOUR mission is to cross the wilderness to the far-distant oil-refinery at San Anglo and bring vital supplies back to the peaceful town of New Hope. Even in the armed Dodge Interceptor you are given, the journey will be wild and perilous. Will YOU survive?
Freeway Fighter is a single-player roleplaying gamebook written by Ian Livingstone, illustrated by Kevin Bulmer and published in 1985 by Puffin Books.
It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series. It is the 13th in the Puffin series (ISBN 0-14-031710-4)
The story takes places in a post-apocalyptic America dominated by heavily armed muscle cars and lawless nomads; there can be little doubt that the setting draws direct inspiration from the Mad Max movies. The player must drive their Dodge Interceptor across the brutal wastes in order to procure a fresh supply of petrol for their home, the peaceful settlement of New Hope.
Freeway Fighter deviates from the Fighting Fantasy norm in that it is not set in the world of Titan and by the inclusion of a vehicle combat system alongside the standard hand to hand system, with space provided to allow the player to record damage to their vehicle. The book also includes shooting rules. The car itself has weapons and modifications, and must be continuously supplied with petrol in order for the journey to continue (you can actually fail in your mission by simply running out of gas).

FIGHTING FANTASY Book 13
FIGHTING FANTASY GAMEBOOK
OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM.

Product Description
Deep inside the Citadel of Chaos, the dread sorcerer Balthus Dire is plotting the downfall of the good folk of the Vale of Willow. His battle plans are laid, his awesome army equipped, and attack is surely imminent, and YOU are the Vale of Willow's only hope! Summoned by a desperate plea for help, YOU are the Vale of Willow’s only hope. As star pupil of the Grand Wizard of Yore and a master sorcerer yourself, you must strike at the very heart of Balthus Dire’s nightmare world. Though you command many powerful spells, the quest may be deadly, for who knows what creatures lie in wait in the Citadel of Chaos?
Plot Summary:
You are a wizard-in-training sent to infiltrate the citadel of Balthus Dire, an evil demi-sorcerer. Your mission is to prevent him from unleashing an army upon the innocent Vale of Willow by assassinating him in his lair.
The Citadel of Chaos is a single-player roleplaying gamebook written by Steve Jackson, illustrated by Russ Nicholson and published by Puffin Books.
It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series. It is the second in the series (ISBN 0-14-031603-5).
In many ways The Citadel of Chaos was similar to the original Fighting Fantasy gamebook, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain with a similar goal and setting. However The Citadel of Chaos expanded the rules with the inclusion of a magic system.

CASES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES
RARE and OUT OF PRINT COLLECTORS ITEM.
written by SIR ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE and illustrated by THOMAS ARTHUR DANIEL DAY
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The Cases of Sherlock Holmes had two purposes during its run. The first purpose was to retell the famous stories about the master detective as written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Renegade Press did this by actually reprinting the stories in their entirety, along with pen-and-ink illustrations. The series’ second purpose was to tell the biography of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Each issue of the series carried a few pages about the celebrated English author. The biography was written by Gordon Derry.
The Cases of Sherlock Holmes premiered in 1986 and was printed in black-and-white with painted covers.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s brilliant, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes has been adapted numerous times in books, plays, movies, television, and comic books. One of the best graphic treatments of the character was by illustrator Daniel Day during the 1980s. Day’s pulpbook, black-and-white, drypoint style was supplemented with blocks of typeset text from the actual Sherlock Holmes stories, an illustrated narrative.
In essence, each issue was a profusely illustrated version of a single Canonical tale with a fully painted cover by the brothers Day. Although Basil Rathbone was the most common inspiration for the look of Holmes, one can find traces of Peter Cushing, Arthur Wontner, Alan Wheatley, Robert Stephens, Christopher Plummer and John Barrymore as well. While many different actors inspired the look of Holmes, Watson was always drawn with Nigel Bruce firmly in mind. Dan Day noted that in a black and white medium, the difference in body type and coloring made for a good visual contrast between the slender dark-haired Holmes and the heavy fair-haired Watson.
THIS ITEM WAS NOT SOLD IN ANY MASS MARKET RETAIL OUTLETS AND WAS ONLY AVAILABLE IN COMIC BOOK SPECIALTY STORES.

RAY HARRYHAUSEN PRESENTS
WRATH OF THE TITANS COMIC BOOK!
SEQUEL SERIES TO THE CLASH OF THE TITANS!
RARE and OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM.
One of the great heroes of Greek mythology, Perseus rules the kingdom of Argos with his beloved wife by his side. Whether defeating the hydra or riding across the skies on Pegasus, he is a figure of power and might. When a new prince is born, the people and gods alike seem to rejoice. But not all the immortals are pleased by Perseus’ exploits and evil forces plot from the shadows.
Inspired by the classic Ray Harryhausen stop-motion movie, Clash of the Titans, the comic includes a small selection of the director’s conceptual drawings.
For years, the land of Argos has been at peace. The legendary hero Persues has taken the crown and guided the kingdom into a new era of prosperity and good fortune. And with the news that an heir has been born, puts the citizens in a celebratory mood. Yet lurking in the shadows are forces of hate and discontent that threaten to wreak havoc on Argos and destroy Perseus.
Inspired by Ray Harryhausen's beloved masterwork, Clash of the Titans, Wrath of the Titans revisits the magical world of Ancient Greece where gods and myth are part of life's everday fabric, and heroes are forged by great and powerful events.
RARE Comic Book. Published by Bluewater Comics in 2008.
These items were never sold in any mass market retail outlets and were only available from comic book specialty shops.

ALAN MOORE SHADOWHAWKS OF LEGEND GRAPHIC NOVEL!
RARE and OUT OF PRINT.
HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM WHICH INCLUDES A STORY WRITTEN BY ALAN MOORE.
Alan Moore, writer of the top-selling graphic novels V FOR VENDETTA and WATCHMEN, writes a Tale of the Egyptian origins of Shadowhawk.
A mysterious being called Tome has been freed from an ancient book and is drawn to the masked vigilante known as ShadowHawk. But he doesn’t know why, nor does he know the nature of his mission. In order to gain further understanding of the Dark Bird of Prey, Tome travels back in time and finds others who have borne the name of ShadowHawk: a hero of the American West, a samurai warrior in ancient Japan, a Protestant rebel who opposed the nefarious Cardinal Richelieu’s tyranny in seventeenth-century France, and an Egyptian heroine at the dawn of the twentieth century. This Prestige Format one-shot gives weight to a concept that upon first glance may have seemed one-note; there’s more to Jim Valentino’s vigilante than meets the eye.

* KYLE HOTZ
* STEVE LEIALOHA
* JIM VALENTINO
* many more!

NEIL GAIMAN ONLY THE END OF THE WORLD AGAIN COMIC BOOK!
RARE and OUT OF PRINT.
HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM FEATURING A STORY BY NEIL GAIMAN!
Lawrence Talbot, claims adjustor and werewolf, finds himself in Innsmouth on a cold winter's night with the townspeople trying to bring about the return of the Elder Gods.
Product Description
Fan-favorite author Neil "Sandman" Gaiman took on the science of lycanthropy with his Only the End of the World Again, a serialized story published by Oni Press. In it, we meet Lawrence Talbot, an adjuster who has set up shop in Innsmouth, a dark, mysterious town with a rich history of magic and evil. When the local overweight gentleman exclaims that the world is ending and that the instrument of destruction is a werewolf, Talbot is thrown into a turbulent and spooky adventure. What's made even more exciting (for readers, not for Talbot), is that our protagonist may turn out to be the werewolf himself. Filled with Gaiman's trademark genius, the story, as short as it may be, is a monster tale for the ages.
Innsmouth is a fictional town in the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, part of the Lovecraft Country setting of the Cthulhu Mythos.
The story was created and written by Neil Gaiman, adapted to comic by P. Craig Russell, illustrated by Troy Nixey
This comic book was never available in any mass market retail outlets and could only be found in comic book specialty stores that ordered limited quantities of it at the time (if they even bothered to order it at all!).
P. Craig Russell is a legend in the comics industry, known for his ambitious adaptations of opera and Michael Moorcock's ELRIC novels.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
About the Author
Neil Gaiman wrote the award-winning graphic novel series The Sandman, and with Terry Pratchett, the award-winning novel Good Omens. His first book for children, The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, illustrated by Dave McKean, hasn't yet won any awards, but was one of Newsweek's Best Children's Books of 1997. Angels & Visitations, a small press story collection, was nominated for a World Fantasy Award and won the International Horror Critics Guild Award for Best Collection, despite not having any horror in it. Well, hardly any.Born in England, he now makes his home in America, in a big dark house of uncertain location where he grows exotic pumpkins and accumulates computers and cats. He is currently at work turning his first novel Neverwhere into a film for Jim Henson films.
Asked why he likes comics more than other forms of storytelling Gaiman said “One of the joys of comics has always been the knowledge that it was, in many ways, untouched ground. It was virgin territory. When I was working on Sandman, I felt a lot of the time that I was actually picking up a machete and heading out into the jungle. I got to write in places and do things that nobody had ever done before. When I’m writing novels I’m painfully aware that I’m working in a medium that people have been writing absolutely jaw-droppingly brilliant things for, you know, three-four thousand years now. You know, you can go back. We have things like The Golden Ass. And you go, well, I don’t know that I’m as good as that and that’s two and a half thousand years old. But with comics I felt like — I can do stuff nobody has ever done. I can do stuff nobody has ever thought of. And I could and it was enormously fun.”
