X-MEN VS TEEN TITANS #1 COMIC BOOK '82 WOLVERINE WALT SIMONSON CHRIS CLAREMONT!!

MARVEL AND DC PRESENT: THE UNCANNY X-MEN and THE NEW TEEN TITANS #1 COMIC BOOK OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM. In 1982, crossovers between publishers were rare and special events, and none were as much anticipated as the get-together between Marvel’s Uncanny X-Men and DC’s New Teen Titans—the two hottest titles then on the stands. The two super-groups were united when DC’s baddest bad guy, Darkseid of Apokolips, revived the all-powerful Dark Phoenix, who had just met her demise after an action-packed (and top selling) series in the X-Men. The New Gods’ Metron and Titan villain Deathstroke the Terminator made guest appearances. Chris Claremont wrote the epic, and artists Walter Simonson and Terry Austin did a good job synthesizing the styles of John Byrne and George PĂ©rez to give the crossover an appearance consistent with the artwork in both series.

X-MEN #1 COMIC BOOK

MARVEL MILESTONE EDITION
COLLECTORS EDITION FIRST ISSUE COMIC BOOK.

The Marvel Milestone series reprints the most famous stories from the Marvel Comics’ early days. With the exception of the front covers, these were exact, page-for-page facsimiles of the original editions, complete with the original ads.

Among the issues reprinted in this series is X-Men (1st Series) #1, the debut of Professor Charles Xavier and his extraordinary students, the X-Men. The original X-Men consisted of five members: the Beast, Iceman, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, and the Angel. The members were teenagers with mutated genes which gave them “X”-tra powers over normal humans. As a rule mutants were not accepted by society. This prejudice turned some mutants against mankind, and so it is that Magneto, the X-Men’s first and most powerful enemy, is introduced in the first issue.

The original comic in full, along with the letters pages and ads. They’re a wonderful step back in time, and a great way for readers to experience the wonder of the early Marvel Universe. Printed on lavish glossy paper!

Originally told in Uncanny X-Men #141 and #142, this storyline, one of the last from the legendary X-team of Chris Claremont, John Byrne and Terry Austin, has also become one of the most popular with fans, which explains why it was released in this collected edition in 1989.

CLASSIC X-MEN #1

RARE AND OUT OF PRINT! THE FIRST ISSUE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY COMIC BOOK SERIES REPRESENTING MARVEL'S MIGHTY MUTANT SUPERHEROES!

This issue integrates 20 new pages into a reprint of Giant-Size X-Men 1. "First Night." Script by Chris Claremont, new art by John Bolton, reprint art by Dave Cockrum. New Arthur Adams front cover; new John Bolton back cover.

An EXTREMELY RARE item!!

Think you know the ALL NEW, ALL DIFFERENT X-MEN that debuted in the seventies starting with GIANT SIZED X-MEN #1? This isn't just a reprint series. Chris Claremont and John Bolton have expanded Len Wein's original story of how Professor X gathered together CYCLOPS, WOLVERINE, COLOSSUS, STORM, SUNFIRE, THUNDERBIRD, BANSHEE and NIGHTCRAWLER into a brand new team of X-Men to mount a daring rescue mission to save ICE MAN, ANGEL, MARVEL GIRL/JEAN GREY, and THE BEAST!

In the early 1970s, the X-Men were a moribund group, never really scoring with readers. The introduction of a new, more exciting team of X-Men changed all that. By 1986, it was clear that the new X-Men were a major hit, if not yet the phenomenon they were by the 1990s. As such, Marvel decided the time was right to begin reprinting their adventures—sometimes in slightly modified form—beginning from their early adventures in Giant-Size X-Men #1.

Review
"A gem of considerable luster...the sort of thing we always dreamed of...a must-buy for any Marvel fan." -- CBGExtra.com

"It's gorgeous...The Marvel Vault is the bomb... Expertly written and prepared." -- January Magazine

"This is a treasure trove of reproduced memorabilia. Brimming with sketches, members' cards and back stories of incredibly obscure characters, it's a history of Marvel so superbly entertaining you'll forget you don't want your kids to play with it." 5 stars.... -- Empire!, 10/2007

"What makes The Marvel Vault amazing fun is the surplus of bells-and-whistles...a wonderful gift, particularly to yourself." -- ComicMix.com

"I've seen a lot of impressive books in my time, but The Marvel Vault takes the cake! I shudder to think of any True Believer being without one." -- Stan Lee

The Vault opens up to show a lot of great photographs, artwork, and promotional items from these eras, much of it previously unpublished or rarely seen, including office birthday and Christmas cards and reproductions of some very cute postcards that Sub-Mariner artist Bill Everett sent to his daughter in 1956. The 1960s chapter includes a lot of photographs of the Bullpenners and freelancers, including a reprint of the little-known Bullpen photos pages from Marvel Tales Annual #1. And I could look all day at Marie Severin’s office cartoons and cover sketches.

The artifacts are the real stars of the show here, and some of the best include a reproduction of the 1976 Howard the Duck for President (“Get Down America” indeed!) button (now a sticker here), a replica of the first Marvel Comic Convention program, a whole page of Marvel Value Stamps (reproduced on actual deteriorating newsprint!), a Marvel Visitor badge (which gained you entry into the bullpen!), and the invitation to Peter and Mary Jane’s wedding. Of unique note is a facsimile of 20 shares of Marvel Entertainment Group stock (ascribed to Roy and Dann Thomas, no less), which I find amusing for a number of reasons, but mostly for the image of the busty babe in recline at the top of the stock. Yikes, how close to comics can you get?

Also of curiosity is the menu for the ill-fated Marvel Mania restaurant from 1998, where you can order Pulse-Poundin’ Pizza or Stanwiches or (my favorite) Howard the Duck chicken fingers. The curious thing about the menu is that it’s the only artifact in the book that doesn’t say “Reproduction” on the back. This, and the fact that my menu (which came in a shrink-wrapped book) is “well-thumbed” can only lead to one conclusion — is this a “real” menu?

About the Author
Roy Thomas lived every boy's dream when he went from being a high school teacher to being the legendary Stan Lee's assistant editor and a scriptwriter for Marvel Comics in 1965. He finished his 15-year career at Marvel as editor-in-chief. Since then, he's co-written two films, contributed to several books and co-authored one with Stan Lee.

Peter Sanderson is a comics guru who joined the staff of Marvel as an assistant editor and later became the company's first archivist. Sanderson is a prolific writer who also teaches at New York University and produces documentaries on comics.

BORIS THE BEAR COMIC BOOK.

RARE VINTAGE PARODY COMIC FEATURING THE MARVEL SUPERHEROES.

"THE SECRET HERO OF THE SUPER WARS"

Unauthorized and humorous underground comic book featuring MARVEL SUPERHEROES such as THE UNCANNY X-MEN, IRON MAN, THE FANTASTIC FOUR, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, THE MIGHTY THOR, taking on Boris the Bear, a cute cartoon bear who targets a different group of pop culture characters every issue!

See the following MARVEL COMICS characters get beat up by a tiny talking teddy bear!

* THE UNCANNY X-MEN
* IRON MAN
* THE FANTASTIC FOUR
* THE INCREDIBLE HULK
* THE MIGHTY THOR
* THE SILVER SURFER
* THE BLACK PANTHER
* BLACK BOLT of THE INHUMANS
* NICK FURY AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D
* ANT-MAN
* many many more!!!

This book was controversial back in the eighties because it was not cleared by the owners of the MARVEL SUPERHEROES and had an extremely low print run. MARVEL fans were clamoring to find this issue.

Boris is a walking, talking teddy bear. But this cute little animal isn’t like all the others you see in the funny books: he’s got an attitude…and an Uzi. Boris decides it’s time to put things straight—with as much violence as possible.

James Dean Smith’s Boris the Bear is hilarious, self-effacing, and (of course) more than a little twisted. If you’re numbed to death from comic book overload, this title may just be the medicine you need to crack a smile again.

Boris used to be a nice enough bear, living in a tree fort in the back yard of his boy, David’s house. Boris the Bear was a great comic book collector and would happily while away the hours reading comics. But lately something has been disturbing him: the onslaught of badly drawn, lifelessly written characters. Now they were everywhere. Something had to be done—and this bear had the will, the attitude, and the Uzi to do it!

Featuring Full Color artwork! Printed on high quality paper.

This comic books were never available to the mass market and were only sold in comic book specialty shops.
