THE ROCKETEER GRAPHIC NOVEL DAVE STEVENS WALT DISNEY ECLIPSE HARLAN ELLISON RARE

THE ROCKETEER GRAPHIC NOVEL. written and illustrated by DAVE STEVENS.

Original 80's version, published by Eclipse Comics.

Introduction by HARLAN ELLISON. filled with lavish full color illustrations.

The Rocketeer is best known for the classic Disney movie, which was adapted faithfully from the original comic books.

Dave Stevens’ Rocketeer is a labor of love, indulged by fans because it’s the best chance we’re ever likely to have of seeing more than covers and posters from this meticulous and beautiful artist.

The Rocketeer of the title is Cliff Secord, a young pilot who lives in a world Stevens has crafted from 1930s pulp fiction and 1940s whimsy. It’s a world of rocket jetpacks, gangsters, high adventure and model girl-friends who look exactly like 1950s pinup Betty Page. The period feel of the book is pure nostalgia, the plots light but perfectly weighted, and the art is a dream.

Following Cliff’s high-flying adventures in grand style.

IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!

Highly recommended.

UNCENSORED MICKEY MOUSE #2 COMIC BOOK FLOYD GOTTFREDSON WALT DISNEY STRIPS 30's!

UNCENSORED MOUSE #2 Comic Book.

Featuring the banned, never before reprinted, politically incorrect earliest comic strip adventures of Mickey Mouse from the 1930's!
"A Classic Collection of Uncensored Floyd Gottfredson Comi Strips from the 1930's."

Illustrated by Floyd Gottfredson, edited by Chris Ulm. Eternity Comics, April 1989. First Edition. This is a comic book reprint of unexpurgated Mickey Mouse strips from Disney Studios originally produced in the 1930s. It is accompanied by a concise history of these early Mouse strips by noted historian Bill Blackbeard. Now disregarded by Disney Studios, as not in keeping with the current image of Mickey Mouse, this may be your only chance to see these stories in print. 40 pages. 1st print,

Floyd Gottfredson's classic strips had been sporadically reprinted in the past, but in almost every instance, they had been heavily censored. Eternity Comics was taking this opportunity to present the strips as they originally appeared.

Eternity titled the book The Uncensored Mouse, and had the covers all black. They only mentioned the fact that they were collecting classic Floyd Gottfredson comic strips. Finally, they were sealed in a bag so that a casual reader would be unable to pick up the book and confuse it for a Disney product.

This publication offered reprints of the daily Mickey Mouse comic strip, starting with the first one (Jan. 13, 1930). Since the strips themselves had not been registered with the Copyright Office and Eternity provided the notation, “Mickey Mouse is a registered trademark of Walt Disney Productions,” Eternity hoped there’d be no legal difficulties in the project. Moreover, the strips were accompanied by a wealth of Mickey Mouse historical material provided by Bill Blackbeard, who also provided an article. The April 20, 1989, Entertainment Tonight TV show featured the controversy, the title was quickly pulled.

Published by Eternity Comics in 1989.

CHRIS SANDERS SIGNED KISKALOO GRAPHIC NOVEL LILO STITCH HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

KISKALOO by CHRIS SANDERS.

VERY RARE LIMITED EDITION SIGNED GRAPHIC NOVEL!!
A beautiful NEW Graphic Novel from the creator and director of Walt Disney's Lilo & Stitch animated feature.
Featuring cuddly animals and adorable girls in the style of LILO AND STITCH!

It is a very high quality package, with his art reproduced on heavy paper stock.
Sold exclusively at the 2007 SAN DIEGO COMICON, and not available in any other retail outlet.

Lilo & Stitch designer Sanders, has launched a comic strip! He introduces the players, seven in all, and sets the stage with some background. He treats us to two complete comic tales: "Kiskaloo: Happy New Year," and "Kiskaloo: The Cat Gets a Name." Drawn in his trademark style, this is loving, endearing and funny!

Also includes Character Profiles of the main characters, some behind the scenes sketches, and more! Including some wonderful full color illustrations.

The premise revolves around a little girl SESI, who adapts a rather unusual and troublesome pet, a cat with an eyepatch. There are more than some passing similarities to LILO AND STITCH, but this duo have their own unique ways of getting into trouble.

Kiskaloo began life as a comic strip, but in this collected edition we see quite the epic storyline develop as the Cat with an Eyepatch undergoes a Quest (along with his bunny sidekick) that will earn him his name!

OGO
Former Hollywood actor. Used to play the pet of an attractive middle-class family. Lost his eye at a craft-services table mishap. After that, he played the companion to an action-movie villain, and found that it suited him better. After that franchise ran its course he was put up for adoption, but ran away. He began showing up on sets again. By using the pause function on a DVD player, you can find him lurking in the background of big-budget movies. He can be seen eating a cheese sandwich during the climactic volcanic explosion sequence of “The Last Days of Pompei.” During a love scene in “Terror on Moonbase 12” he can be glimpsed outside a window, cleaning himself in a crater. And he shows up no fewer than seven times in the background of “Natural Corruption” - snoozing on a drawer in the morgue, toasting marshmallows on the beach during a murder, opening the lid of a mayonnaise jar with a letter opener in a police station, sleeping in the serial killer’s freezer, and fishing in a lobster tank during a grocery store shoot-out. After the studio bought a security dog to keep him away, he moved North, where he eventually settled in Emergency, and adopted Sesi. Ogo likes pancakes, action movies, coffee, and watching skateboard accidents on the internet. He believes he could have survived the sinking of the Titanic with only a screwdriver, by removing a cabin door from it’s hinges and floating quietly off the bow.

SESI
Born in British Colombia, Sesi is the younger of two sisters. Sesi’s mother is a civilian radar and sonar specialist who works with the military. When Sesi was four, her family moved North to the town of Emergency, so her mother could work on a special project. Sesi’s father was an explorer and collector for museums. He disappeared in the Atacama desert on a mummy collecting trip when Sesi was four. Sesi is Haida, and belongs to the Raven Clan. Sesi does not get along with her sister, who she sees as shallow and boy-obsessed. Sesi doesn’t have many friends at school, which concerns her mother but doesn’t concern Sesi. Sesi likes peanut butter and sugar sandwiches, watches scary movies, believes in ghosts, and still writes letters to Santa. Late at night she nurtures and modifies an ongoing fantasy where she brings the Salem witch trials to a halt by getting herself arrested, tried, and sent to the gallows where she waits for a good crowd to gather before she reveals that she is actually a witch, launching green lightning from her fingertips and generally giving the good people of Salem a real reason to be scared.

Three Fingers Graphic Novel [Paperback]
Rich Koslowski (Author, Artist)

A SPOOF OF WALT DISNEY AND MICKEY MOUSE.

Product Description
A behind-the-scenes mocumentary of the animation industry. Through a series of never-before-seen interviews and rare photos, documentary-maker Rich Koslowski reveals the horrifying true story behind the Cartoon industry and our most celebrated cartoon actors-the story that Hollywood doesn't want you to see!

Roger Rabbit meets Behind the Music in this graphic novel that uses interviews and historical "photos" to reveal the sordid truth behind the rise of anthropomorphic animal stars in Hollywood's golden age. The focal character is Rickey Rat, whom filmmaker Dizzy Walters discovered in a seedy nightclub in the segregated part of Columbus, Ohio, known as Toonsville. Rickey's rise to fame should have opened the door to other toon stars, but for some reason audiences resisted those who tried to follow in his footprints. Desperate to emulate his success, toon actors even began copying the birth defect that left him with only three fingers by means of a surgical mutilation that came to be known as "the ritual." The premise is clever, and Koslowski executes it skillfully, placing the toon characters in a world quite recognizable as our own. Even if there isn't much here beyond that premise, it is great fun to see stars like "Buggy Bunny," "Portly Pig," and "Dapper Duck" blow the lid off Toonsville in this comic a clef.
From the Publisher
Rich Koslowski has worked in the Animation and Comic Book industry for the past 12 years. Rich is best known for his Eisner nominated work on his self-published parody title The 3 Geeks, a book about three typical comic book fanatics. He got his start working as an inker at Archie comics on the popular "Sonic the Hedgehog" series. Other Archie titles he's worked on have included "Jughead", "Veronica", and "Archie's Weird Mysteries". Rich and his wife Sandra (who helps on all his books) live in Shorewood, Wisconsin.

* ISBN-13: 978-1891830310
* Product Dimensions: 11 x 8.9 x 0.4 inches

this work takes a more realistically drawn, documentary-style approach to its story of an alternate world where cartoons exist alongside humans, albeit as second-class citizens. Mimicking a television expos‚'s hyperbolic format, Koslowski alternates confessional head shots of interviewees with "archival" stills that narrate the history of toons in film. Koslowski began in animation, and its influence is visible in his ability to capture finely shifting facial expressions and in his preoccupation with animated cartoons. Dizzy Walters, a visionary figure strangely reminiscent of Walt Disney, has founded an entertainment empire on the charisma of his formerly down-and-out toon prot‚g‚, Ricky Rat. But lurking beneath this rag-to-riches story are rumors of a nasty "ritual," a surgical enhancement many toons are desperate to have done hence the book's title with the implicit demand of studio executives. The pressure has driven Ricky to depression and a bad cigarette habit. The ensuing mockumentary offers testimony from Ricky's peers on the vile practice: toons such as Buggy Bunny and Sly Vester Jr. sound off on the "ritual," and celebrities come out strongly against it. Koslowski even suggests the ritual could be behind many of the notorious assassinations and deaths during the 1960s and '70s.

The film “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” was a monumental success for Disney. This remarkable movie deftly combined a live-action detective thriller on the same screen with animated cartoon characters. In 1990, Disney comics followed up the film with a new Roger Rabbit comic book series.

Ever since Eddie Valiant made a name for himself as a detective, by capturing Judge Doom in the movie, he has been too busy to help Roger in the many adventures for the comic series. In the first issue, Eddie paired Roger up with an old friend, Rick Flint. Together, the odd twosome go on one wacky adventure after another.

Most of the characters from the film find their way into the series. Among them, the reader will find Jessica Rabbit, Roger’s sexy wife; Benny the Cab; Baby Herman; and many, many more.
