This is the RARE original 1993 comic book, and was never sold in any mass market retail outlets. It was only available to purchase through comic book specialty shops.

This hilarious title from Innovation adapts the second novel in author Terry Pratchett’s popular Discworld series. This installment finds the bumbling Rincewind and his buddy Twoflower on the run from a group of wizards who need the eighth spell from the Octavo to save Discworld. The problem is the spell has taken up residence in Rincewind’s head and prevents him from retaining or learning any other spells. Funny stuff! Faithful adaptation!

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM!!!

a wonderful and faithful adaptation of the novel in the Discworld series, the series critics have said does for fantasy what Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy did for science fiction.

This comic book was never available in any mass market retail outlets and could only be found in comic book specialty stores that ordered limited quantities of it at the time (if they even bothered to order it at all!).

TERRY PRATCHETT COLOUR OF MAGIC COMIC BOOK DISCWORLD FANTASY PAINTED ART WIZARD!

TERRY PRATCHETT COLOUR OF MAGIC COMIC BOOK! DISCWORLD

RARE and OUT OF PRINT.

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM

Imagine a flat world, sitting on the backs of four elephants, who hurtle through space on the back of a giant turtle. That’s the setting of writer Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels. This is the bizarre adventure of Rincewind the wizard and Twoflower, Discworld’s first tourist. All Twoflower wants is to see the city and take lots of pictures and meet great heroes. All Rincewind wants is to flee the city with Twoflower’s gold. But he can’t. The city’s ruler has threatened the wizard with fates worse than death unless he acts as Twoflower’s tour guide. So he must protect the naïve Twoflower from brigands, thugs, magic attacks, and quite possibly Death himself.

The Colour of Magic is a wonderful and faithful adaptation of the first novel in the Discworld series, the series critics have said does for fantasy what Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy did for science fiction.

This comic book was never available in any mass market retail outlets and could only be found in comic book specialty stores that ordered limited quantities of it at the time (if they even bothered to order it at all!).

Look at their faces, at the set of their mouths. We've disturbed them in their native habitat. They are tolerating us for a moment, allowing us a brief glimpse before they scatter back to Prydain, to the Dreaming, to Deverry, to Darkover. None of them are ten feet tall, or look capable of much in the way of magic. But look at their faces. Look at the set of their mouths. They've been somewhere we can only hope to visit, secondhand, by the magic that flows from their pens. Look at their faces.

In 1984, photo-essayist Patti Perret and (the now vanished) Bluejay Press released a collection of photographs entitled Faces of Science Fiction. The book instantly became a collector's item and used for autographs at science fiction conventions. Twelve years later, Tor has come out with Perret's companion volume, The Face of Fantasy. Perret's book is filled with a random assortment of more than 100 modern fantasy authors. Each author received one page in which to describe who they are, their philosophy, or anything else that seemed appropriate.

The Faces of Fantasy, is a fun book to have, providing pictures of more than 100 fantasy authors from Lynn Abbey to Jane Yolen. And, of course, it makes a great place to keep all those autographs.

The original cover price for this book was $56!
