TERRY PRATCHETT COLOUR OF MAGIC COMIC BOOK! DISCWORLD

RARE and OUT OF PRINT.

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM

Imagine a flat world, sitting on the backs of four elephants, who hurtle through space on the back of a giant turtle. That’s the setting of writer Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels. This is the bizarre adventure of Rincewind the wizard and Twoflower, Discworld’s first tourist. All Twoflower wants is to see the city and take lots of pictures and meet great heroes. All Rincewind wants is to flee the city with Twoflower’s gold. But he can’t. The city’s ruler has threatened the wizard with fates worse than death unless he acts as Twoflower’s tour guide. So he must protect the naïve Twoflower from brigands, thugs, magic attacks, and quite possibly Death himself.

CHILD'S PLAY #1 CHUCKY COMIC BOOK KILLER DOLL '91 GORE!

Spinning out of the CHILD'S PLAY horror film series!

CHILD'S PLAY #1 COMIC BOOK. STARRING CHUCKY!

FEATURING THE DEADLY DOLL FROM THE INFAMOUS CHILD'S PLAY FILM SERIES.

This is an ORIGINAL COMIC BOOK featuring the one and only CHUCKY. Published by Innovation Comics in 1991.

With lavish, detailed full color artwork printed on high quality paper! Gorey and Frightening! Like the films themselves.

The abominable doll Chucky went from movies to comics when Innovation introduced this 1991 series. Child’s Play was the story of a killer’s soul trapped in the plastic body of a child’s doll. This three-foot terror then used knives, scissors, and outright savagery to murder again and again.

After being destroyed in the first movie, the killer’s soul somehow finds itself transferred into another “Good Guys” doll body. As soon as the machinery attached the requisite arms and legs, he made a break for it. He was picked up by Russ, a foolish teenager with a fascination for the occult. Russ and his friends thought of Chucky as an instant celebrity, and agreed to hold a seance to try to find out information from beyond the grave that might help Chucky find a new body. No sooner had the seance concluded, however, than Chucky grabbed a kitchen knife and repaid their hospitality in his usual manner. For Chucky, murder is just one of his favorite games…

Chucky is the ghastly little star of the Child’s Play movies. Originally a grown killer, he was cornered and shot to death while seeking refuge in a doll factory. Even as the life flowed out of him, his spirit was mystically transferred into the body of a doll. This little monster then proceeded to wreak deadly havoc through a whole series of movies.

Like a demonic Pinocchio, he sought out Andy, his former owner, in the hope that the killer could cast a spell to transfer his spirit into Andy’s body and become a real person again. Naturally, this would entail Andy’s death, but the frightening little puppet was all-too-willing to leave a pile of bodies in his wake if that’s what it took to reach his goal.

The revival of interest in Lost in Space in the early nineties culminated in the 25th Anniversary Boston celebrations. However, it was the astonishing appearance of Innovation's Lost in Space comic book in 1991 which kept interest on the boil and finally gave starved fans something to savour after so many years.
The fact that this comic ever came off the printing press is remarkable in itself as David Campiti, editor and publisher explained in issue 1 of the comic:

"Last year, in New York I was with Viacom's Howard Berk discussing their various properties. 'Out of this list, the only thing I see here that excites me is Lost in Space,' I told him. 'But I couldn't see doing it like the silly '60s TV show - that was positioned to compete with Batman in the ratings.'

We finished our leisurely talk about comics in general and I got up to leave 'Tell me,' he said 'what would you do with Lost in Space if you got it.'

My answer, a sequence I thought up on-the-spot, off the top of my head, is what you see printed as the first three a pages of this issue. His response was 'I don't see a problem with that.' And the rest is history."

Where so many others had tried vainly before, David Campiti, had succeeded in performing a minor miracle. He had acquired the rights to legally produce a story based on the original TV series. Certainly one highlight of the new comic was the fact that Bill Mumy, who played Will Robinson in the original TV series, had accepted a position as a consultant/writer.

The other remaining cast members also seemed very interested in the progress of the new comic book as Bill Mumy explained:

"Everybody in the cast gave me their feedback on the comic and enjoyed it a lot, especially Jonathan Harris and June Lockhart. Both of them were tickled by it...It was great to have everybody feeling activated again after so long.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S PSYCHO COMIC BOOK.

Based on the film by ALFRED HITCHCOCK, the MASTER OF SUSPENSE!

This is an ORIGINAL COMIC BOOK featuring the one and only NORMAN BATES. Published by Innovation Comics in 1992.

With lavish, full color Painted artwork printed on high quality paper!

Marion Crane is a restless woman. Her life is unsatisfying and tedious, but that’s nothing that a large influx of cash couldn’t fix. When the opportunity unexpectedly presents itself, she impulsively flees with $40,000 of her employer’s money. By the evening of the next day she has left her old life far behind, and if she had any second thoughts about her actions, her arrival at the run-down Bates Motel is destined to remove any chance of self-recrimination.

This adaptation of the classic Alfred Hitchcock film maintains the unsettling sense of paranoia that pervaded the movie. The specifics of the plot are all but common knowledge to today’s pop culture fan, so the telling of the story is even more important. Artist Felipe Echevarria is more than up to the task. His paintings portray the subtle nuances of doubt, fear and anxiety on faces that are striking likenesses of Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins.
