From there it went to Britt Reid II, then to Alan Reid in 1986 (killed on his first outing as the Hornet), and finally to Paul Reid in the present day. Eschewing tradition, this second Now Green Hornet series finds Paul increasingly comfortable in his role of pianist by day (breaking from the earlier era Britt Reids who were publishers) and crimefighter by night. The police, however, have grown embarrassed by the a vigilante who seems to keep showing them up. Using typical clear thinking, they’ve decided to devote the majority of their time and resources to catching the Hornet. As a result, the Green Hornet must now fight not just the criminals, but the police as well. This item was not available for sale in any mass market retail outlet and could only be found in comic book specialty stores.
