COLLECTOR'S ITEM FIRST ISSUE!

THE GOREY WRAPAROUND COVER VARIANT EDITION!

FEATURING JASON VORHEES, THE DEADLY UNDEAD SLASHER FROM THE FAMOUS FILM SERIES, BATTLING HIS FUTURE INCARNATION JASON X... UPGRADED TO SLAUGHTER AMONGST THE STARS.

JASON and JASON X returns in this all new underground comic book series.
With lavish, full color artwork printed on high quality glossy paper! Gorey and Uncensored! Like the films themselves.

The gore-drenched showdown of a lifetime erupts in the depths of space as the undead, mass-murderer Jason Voorhees is reborn to face the cybernetically-enhanced and unstoppable future version of himself! As Jason X stalks the halls of an interstellar pleasure cruiser, a deep-space salvage team makes their way into the remnants of the space catamaran Grendel, where the über-Jason was created. Hoping to gut the ship of its most valuable assets, the team instead unwittingly revives a curse that transcends time itself, reawakening the one, original Jason Voorhees. Jason's divided reign of terror will be short-lived, however, as both halves of Earth's most dreaded serial killer are drawn to one another for a confrontation that can have only one victor... and one survivor! Fan-favorite creator Mike Wolfer brings this epic bloodbath to life in this vicious series

Though this seems to be a straight adaptation of one of the many Friday the 13th films, no such film with this title exists…yet. This comic book features the Jason of the first films battling the Jason of the future, also known as Jason X. The story is also set in the future. It is the ultimate showdown as the seemingly unbeatable Jason has finally met his match. The story features a lot of gore as is to be expected from a Friday the 13th film and die-hard fans will be riveted to find out who will win.

OZ SQUAD #1 COMIC BOOK SPECIAL
RARE and OUT OF PRINT.

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM!

Oz Squad is a comic book updating of L. Frank Baum's Land of Oz series. In much th same way WICKED created a different way of looking at characters that we grew up with. This series predated Wicked by a number of years.

Its premise is that Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion are now part of "Gale Force", a Mission Impossible type organization working to protect Oz from all manner of bizarre threats. Created and written by Steve Ahlquist, the series is complex and clever, playing with the mythology that Baum had created in the original children's books and updating it for a more grown up audience.
What is amazing about this series is that all the original stories did take place as the backstory and the explanation of how much darker the tone in this contemporary Land of Oz was the influence of the Earth seeping in and corrupting the wonderful world it was.

In which we learn that Dorothy had an relationship with JFK and the Powers That Be was looking the other way on November 22nd, 1963 so the reality of what happened that day is always in flux. In the world of Oz Squad, his assassination was the work of Baba Yaga. And three hobos. And a werewolf.

An all-new tale of terror!

A bus full of choir-girls, along with their teachers and the teachers' daughter, becoming stranded in Texas when their bus breaks down near the Hewitt house.

Leatherface lives on! Writer Brian Pulido unleashes more psychological terror now teaming with sensational new artist Daniel HDR. Fuller, Texas. Summer, 1972. The Jefferson Girl's Choir is traveling across the state for a revival meeting and makes the horrible mistake of a stop at the Hewitt family General store. They enter a horrifying world of madness and depravity that their bible-fearing beliefs couldn't prepare them for as Leatherface, Sheriff Hoyt, Old Monty, Luba May and the entire Hewitt clan hunt them down and torture them. Can any of them survive or will they be the new masks of Leatherface?

A group of church choir girls, their two teachers and a young child are on a field trip. They go through the wrong town, and the Hewlitt family decide to have a little fun with them. This book reads like the movies watch. There are characters we actually care about. We get to know them so we can feel their fear and their sense of danger. So when the inevitable happens it means something. That being said, it is the attention paid to the Hewlitt family that makes these stories as creepy as they are.

RARE AND OUT OF PRINT! THE FIRST ISSUE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY COMIC BOOK SERIES STARRING MARVEL'S MIGHTY MUTANT SUPERHEROES!

In 1991, Marvel launched a “mutant genesis,” completely transforming its many mutant super-hero groups. The New Mutants would become X-Force, And the Uncanny X-Men would split into two teams, each featured in its own title.

This X-Men series stars the new team consisting of Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Psylocke, Rogue, and the Beast. Although the other X-Men still appear regularly, Marvel’s idea was to concentrate this title on a smaller team in order to better craft the storylines. With early issues drawn and plotted by the legendary Jim Lee, this series makes that idea come alive.

Issue #1 of this “adjectiveless” X-Men title was launched in a storm of publicity and sported five different covers. Taken together, it sold in excess of seven million copies, making it the best-selling comic of all time.

A fantastic story that asks the question of what would happen if Batman existed during the time of Jack the Ripper?

Gotham by Gaslight is a fascinating “alternate reality” story that puts the character of Batman back in Gotham City of 1890. In the young city known as Gotham, a winged vigilante has begun stalking criminals. All the while, the greatest villain of the age has begun a similar stalking of the innocent.

That criminal, who referred to himself merely as “Jack” in the taunting notes he sent authorities, has moved his reign of terror from London to Gotham. Soon, the vigilante and the ripper will face off in this turn-of-the-century thriller.

Product Description
What would Gotham City of 100 years ago have been like? In an age of Mysery and superstition how would the people of Gotham react to weird creture of teh night, a bat-garbed vigiante feared by the guilty and the innocent alike? Some would live in terror" Other would rest easier: Only one man would take no notice at all. a man with other matters to attend to. His name? no one knows for sure. Most people know him only Jack. Jack the Ripper.

Gotham by Gaslight is an exceptional tale that provides a true mystery, as Batman pursues the Ripper through late 19th century Gotham. But even more than a mystery, it's an excellent retelling of the origin of Batman.

Book Description
Steven is afraid. Afraid of ghost stories, afraid of growing up ... just afraid. That is, until he meets the mysterious Showman and his Theatre of the Real. Steven takes a ticket and watches the show on a dare, but getting out of the performance will be harder than he ever imagined. And Steven learns what it is to be truly afraid. Neil Gaiman, internationally acclaimed writer of both prose fiction (Neverwhere, Stardust) and graphic novels (The Sandman, Signal to Noise) and artist Michael Zulli (The Sandman, The Dreaming) team up to create this dark and brooding morality tale. Originally published as part of the short-lived Marvel Music line of the early `90s, this stunning trade paperback features sepia-colored ink on cream paper to better showcase the lush beauty of Zulli`s duoshade artwork in an affordable 6x9 format.

A spooky collaboration between novelist and comics writer Gaiman (Sandman; and see review of American Gods, above) and creepy shock rocker Cooper, this is the story of Steven, a boy with many fears: girls, ghost stories and growing up among them. On a dare, he steps into an odd theater and meets a mysterious, top-hatted showman, an Alice Cooper-like figure (complete with dark eye-circles) who offers him a way to avoid his fears by simply giving up his "potential" and staying forever in a dreamy netherworld of spirits and wraiths. And after encountering Mercy, a beautiful ticket-taker in the ghostly theater, Steven gives the offer serious consideration. Cooper is the inspiration for the Grand Guignol of this demonic theater, a chilling metaphor for the seductive allure of complacency and indolence. Gaiman's story is a whimsical horror tale about confronting the fears within, and Zulli's black-and-white illustrations have a dark, emotive line, presented in a brownish, bloodlike hue that makes even a mundane, autumnal street scene seem eerie and foreboding.

NEIL GAIMAN'S WHEEL OF WORLDS #0
Published by TEKNO COMIX. RARE COLLECTORS ITEM.
INCLUDES a reversible pull out poster featuring LADY JUSTICE on one side and the dread TEKNOPHAGE on the other!

Based on a Steam Punk Fantasy World and Characters created by NEIL GAIMAN!

Neil Gaiman, one of the most popular comics writers of the 1990s, was commissioned to design a line of comics and characters for newcomer Tekno Comics. Gaiman’s concepts were introduced to readers in this one-shot, which presented the background of the shared universe, and related the origins of the characters.

As the stories begins, Adam Cain and Mr. Hero (a robot, or “Newmatic Man”) have traveled to the dessicated Redchapel, on an alternate Earth called Albion, in search of Mr. Hero’s lost hand. Not long after, the lizard-like ruler of worlds known as the Teknophage arrives, intent on finally humbling the pair. The only thing saving them from certain destruction is the timely appearance of Lady Justice, who spins a tale so compelling that even the almighty Teknophage is moved to spare them.

Mr. Hero, a steam-powered clockwork man from the raw industrial planet Kalighoul that is stored on Earth for years until discovered by a mime, Jenny, and her simple-minded but dedicated strong man companion.

Lady Justice. She is Justice. Represented since the beginning of time as a robed woman, blinded, armed with naught but a sword and a sense of balance. A woman cut off from the masculine world of clues and hard realities, forced into the depths of her remaining senses: touch, smell, taste, hearing. A woman joined with her innermost self, focused only on her mission. A woman who cannot be deceived, cannot be fooled. A woman blind¨ to all but justice. In times of trouble, the spirit of Justice appears before women and offers them the chance to take revenge on their male abusers.

Adam Cain. Mysterious Man of Magic!

Together, they fight the Reptilian Tyrant, THE TEKNOPHAGE!

Also includes a section of sketches and notes around the creative process of designing Mr Hero, Adam Cain, The Teknophage and Lady Justice with NEIL GAIMAN and various artists, including Sandman artists Bryan Talbot, Rick Vietch and others. Gaiman himself does some sketches!

Book Description
Mr. Hero is a steam-driven automaton created by the villainous lizard, the Teknophage. Intended to be a force of evil, he instead proves noble. In the mid 1990's he was discovered and reconstructed by Jennifer Hale, a struggling street magician. Mr Hero teams up with Lady Justice and Adam Cain to take on The evil otherworldly business tycoon The Teknophage, a ravanous reptile creature from a hell-dimension.

Asked why he likes comics more than other forms of storytelling Gaiman said “One of the joys of comics has always been the knowledge that it was, in many ways, untouched ground. It was virgin territory. When I was working on Sandman, I felt a lot of the time that I was actually picking up a machete and heading out into the jungle. I got to write in places and do things that nobody had ever done before. When I’m writing novels I’m painfully aware that I’m working in a medium that people have been writing absolutely jaw-droppingly brilliant things for, you know, three-four thousand years now. You know, you can go back. We have things like The Golden Ass. And you go, well, I don’t know that I’m as good as that and that’s two and a half thousand years old. But with comics I felt like — I can do stuff nobody has ever done. I can do stuff nobody has ever thought of. And I could and it was enormously fun.”

Book Description
In the sleepy English countryside at the dawn of the Victorian era lies the village of Wall - a secluded hamlet that derives its name from an imposing stone barrier that surrounds a fertile grassland. The lesiurely pace in Wall is disrupted only once every nine years as the mortal and magical meer upon the meadow for a market fair like no other.

It is here in Wall that young Tristan Thorn loses his heart to the town beauty - a woman who is as cold and distant as the star she and Tristan see fall from the sky on a crisp October evening. To gain the hand of his beloved, Tristan rashly vows to fetch the fallen star and embarks upon a lover's quest that willl carry him over the ancient wall and into a world beyond his wildest imaginings...
Stardust is an utterly charming fairy tale in the tradition of The Princess Bride and The Neverending Story. Neil Gaiman, creator of the darkly elegant Sandman comics and author of The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, tells the story of young Tristran Thorn and his adventures in the land of Faerie. One fateful night, Tristran promises his beloved that he will retrieve a fallen star for her from beyond the Wall that stands between their rural English town (called, appropriately, Wall) and the Faerie realm. No one ever ventures beyond the Wall except to attend an enchanted flea market that is held every nine years (and during which, unbeknownst to him, Tristran was conceived). But Tristran bravely sets out to fetch the fallen star and thus win the hand of his love. His adventures in the magical land will keep you turning pages as fast as you can--he and the star escape evil old witches, deadly clutching trees, goblin press-gangs, and the scheming sons of the dead Lord of Stormhold. The story is by turns thrillingly scary and very funny. You'll love goofy, earnest Tristran and the talking animals, gnomes, magic trees, and other irresistible denizens of Faerie that he encounters in his travels. Stardust is a perfect read-aloud book, a brand-new fairy tale you'll want to share with a kid, or maybe hoard for yourself.

A tale of romance, magic, and glamour, the multiple award-winning NEIL GAIMAN AND CHARLES VESS' STARDUST is a spellbinding story, lavishly illustrated and lyrically written by two masters of their craft.

In August 1999 Stardust was awarded the prestigious Mythopoeic Award as best novel for adults.
