ALIENS GRAPHIC NOVEL PLATINUM LT EDITION SIMON BISLEY ALIEN PROMETHEUS HR GIGER!

ALIENS GRAPHIC NOVEL! LIMITED PLATINUM EDITION ILLUSTRATED BY THE LEGENDARY SIMON BISLEY. THE ALIENS from the RIDLEY SCOTT/JAMES CAMERON film series. Also features a very different depiction of The Engineers, than what was eventually revealed in the recent Prometheus film. RARE and OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM FOR FANS OF ALIENS All of the stand-alone stories from the past issues of Dark Horse Presents in one volume, and in color for the first time! This package includes stories by Mark Verheiden and Mark A. Nelson (DHP #24), Anina Bennett and Paul Guinan (DHP # 42-43), John Arcudi and Simon Bisley (DHP 5th Anniversary Special), and Arcudi, Guinan and Tony Akins (DHP #56). This volume is colored by Rachelle Menashe and Chris Chalenor. All wrapped up in a stunning new cover painting by Simon Bisley. This 1992 special collected and colorized the various Aliens appearances from Dark Horse Presents. The first of the five stories, “Theory of Alien Propagation,” is a primer to the Aliens’ ghastly breeding and hunting practices, speculating on their origins, and concluding with their threat to Earth. Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett’s two-part Aliens story is the most effective of the bunch, relating a treasure-hunting expedition into an Alien pyramid, only to find a terrible presence within the mausoleum. Simon Bisley-illustrated “Reapers” is perhaps the least effective, although it does boast Bisley’s trademark art, as well as a humorous flourish at the end. The special is concluded with “The Alien,” a final chapter in Aliens: Earth War in which mankind arranges to repopulate an Earth overrun by Aliens. fantastic high quality full color graphic novel printed on bright glossy paper stock. NEIL GAIMAN HARLEQUIN VALENTINE GRAPHIC NOVEL HARDCOVER JOHN BOLTON PAINTED ART!

Harlequin Valentine [Hardcover] Neil Gaiman (Author), John Bolton (Author) Published by DARK HORSE in 2001. In this modern hardcover retelling of a classic commedia dell'arte legend of tomfoolery and hopeless, fawning love, creators Neil Gaiman (The Sandman, the Newbery Medal-winning The Graveyard Book) and John Bolton (Evil Dead) update the relationship of Harlequin and Columbine. A buffoon burdened with a brimming heart, Harlequin chases his sensible, oblivious Columbine around the city streets, having given his heart freely. Consumed with love, the impulsive clown sees his heart dragged about town, with a charming surprise to bend the tale in a modern direction. Gaiman's writing is poetic and as heartfelt as the subject matter. Bolton's art, a combination of digitally enhanced photorealism and dynamic painting, provides sensational depth with bright characters over fittingly muted backgrounds. Those who have spent Valentine's Day alone are aware that the cold February holiday can be hard to swallow. Gaiman and Bolton want you to know that all it takes is a steak knife, a fork, and a bottle of quality ketchup! About the Author Neil Gaiman wrote the award-winning graphic novel series The Sandman, and with Terry Pratchett, the award-winning novel Good Omens. His first book for children, The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, illustrated by Dave McKean, hasn't yet won any awards, but was one of Newsweek's Best Children's Books of 1997. Angels & Visitations, a small press story collection, was nominated for a World Fantasy Award and won the International Horror Critics Guild Award for Best Collection, despite not having any horror in it. Well, hardly any.Born in England, he now makes his home in America, in a big dark house of uncertain location where he grows exotic pumpkins and accumulates computers and cats. He is currently at work turning his first novel Neverwhere into a film for Jim Henson films.
