PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CAPTAIN ACTION. A.C.T.I.O.N. FORCE COMIC BOOK.

Collector's Item! Published in 1987. One of the hardest to find CAPTAIN ACTION Collectibles!

CAPTAIN ACTION, the action figure hero from the sixties, returns in this all new adventure published in 1987! It had an extremely small print run and was only sold in comic book specialty stores.

Find out what happened to him after all these years!

Capt Action, an action figure from IDEAL toys circa 1966, was Ideal's reaction to Hasbro's GI JOE. Stan Weston designed/created the hero who could adopt the guise of many other heroes, such as The Phantom, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, etc. Now for the first time in 40 years, Captain Action will be in comics again!
In 1987, A.C.T.I.O.N. Force #1, featuring Captain Action and a group of other heroes, was published by Lightning Comics. That was the only issue, but it marked the first time the hero had reappeared. Two years later, Jim Main, who had written A.C.T.I.O.N. Force #1, ran stories featuring the character in three issues of Toy Collectors’ Journal.

This is the extremely rare issue, published by LIGHTNING COMICS.

COLLECTOR'S ITEM! Highly sought after.

RARE and OUT OF PRINT! Impossible to find!

This item was a small press underground comic book that was not sold in any mass market retail outlets.
