This book was controversial back in the eighties because it was not cleared by the owners of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other characters and had an extremely low print run. TMNT fans were clamoring to find this issue.

Boris used to be a nice enough bear, living in a tree fort in the back yard of his boy, David’s house. Boris the Bear was a great comic book collector and would happily while away the hours reading comics. But lately something has been disturbing him: the onslaught of badly drawn, lifelessly written “funny animal” characters. It seemed as if only yesterday there were just the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now they were everywhere: the Care Bears, Cerebus the Aardvark, Usagi Yojimbo, Ambush Bug and his annoying friend Cheeks, Captain Carrot, Bullwinklethe list went on and on…and on. Something had to be done—and this bear had the will, the attitude, and the Uzi to do it!
