Accompanied by his chauffeur and companion Kato (himself a descendent of the original Kato, and portrayed by the legendary BRUCE LEE on the tv series), he takes on crime in his city. The role of the Green Hornet has been handed down in the Reid Family since its inception with publisher Britt Reid assumed it in 1939 to battle gangsters. From there it went to Britt Reid II, then to Alan Reid in 1986 (killed on his first outing as the Hornet), and finally to Paul Reid in the present day.
