Rat Fink—Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s what-if image of Mickey Mouse’s father—was one of the heroes of the underground comix movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
In honor of his longtime friend, and legendary artist, we have a special piece on the legacy of Big Daddy Roth and his infamous Rat Fink character. As we embark on our 18th year as a print publication, we wanted to give a historical perspective of one of our earliest inspirations.
The April 2012 will also feature articles and interviews on twins and public mural machines HowNosm, Spanish artist Liqen, album cover artist and illustrator John Baizley, New Mexico-based fine artist Esteban Bojorquez, and a look at Maine-based Matt W. Moore's abstract public works.
