Product Description

The once-peaceful world of Orb is in terrible danger. Dark forces are at work to unleash the awesome might of the Evil One - and only YOU can stop them.

YOUR mission is to destroy the Talisman of Death before the Dark Lord's minions reach you. But beware! Time is running out...

Talisman of Death is a single-player roleplaying gamebook written by Jamie Thomson and Mark Smith, illustrated by Bob Harvey and originally published in 1984 by Puffin Books. It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series. It is the 11th in the series in the original Puffin series (ISBN 0-14-031859-3)

Unlike most other Fighting Fantasy books, the reader is in fact an ordinary person from Earth, drawn into the world of Orb by the will of the gods. In this book the player is given the task of protecting the Talisman of Death. The player must find a way of returning to their own world with the Talisman, thus depriving the god Death of the Talisman forever
Talisman of Death is the only Fighting Fantasy gamebook set in the fantasy world of Orb, a creation of Thomson and Smith, although this world is also used as a setting for their Way of the Tiger series of gamebooks. The majority of the story is spent in the town "Greyguilds-on-the-moor". Characters that appear in Talisman of Death, such as Tyutchev, Cassandra, and Thaum also appear in the Way of the Tiger series. Also, Bob Harvey reprises his role as the illustrator of the series.

YOU are an apprentice in the Thieves' Guild of Port Blacksand. Tonight is the testing time, the climax of your training. Your mission is to find and steal a priceless gem, the Eye of the Basilisk, and the special skills you have learned will be tested to the limit!

Many terrors lie in wait in the darkness of this evil city's backstreets and alleys. Will you be able to accomplish your dangerous task? You have until morning to prove yourself.

Midnight Rogue is a single-player roleplaying gamebook written by Graeme Davis, illustrated by John Sibbick and originally published in 1987 by Puffin Books. It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series. It is the 29th in the series in the original Puffin series (ISBN 0-14-032378-3). There are currently no announced plans to republish this book as part of the modern Wizard series.

Midnight Rogue is set in Port Blacksand from City of Thieves, and casts the player as a somewhat unheroic character — an apprentice thief undergoing the test for Guild membership. The task is to steal a valuable gem, the "Eye of the Basilisk", from a merchant named Brass. The adventure involves burgling a variety of locations in the city to gain clues as its whereabouts: once found, the protections put in place to guard the gem turn out to be an even greater test.

Product Description

Civil war wracks the Isles of the Dawn. You are a young farmer, unaffected by the turmoil until chaos strikes. A roving band of mercenaries ransacks your village, killing your father and enslaving your mother. This injustice must be righted!

Arcane creatures, martial monks and battle-hardened warriors must all be overcome, as your quest for justice leads you from your quiet village to the very Court of the God-King!

The Crimson Tide is a single-player roleplaying gamebook written by Paul Mason, illustrated by Terry Oakes and originally published in 1992 by Puffin Books.

It forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series. It is the 47th in the series in the original Puffin series (ISBN 0-14-034555-8).

This gamebook is set in the Isles of Dawn, a region on Titan similar to ancient China. The player takes the role of a young boy seeking vengeance on the mercenaries that burned down his village, killed his father and kidnapped his mother. The character can go on to train in martial arts at a monastery and progresses through a series of adventures before finally attaining the Sacred Sword of Tsui and confronting the leader of the mercenaries.

Unlike other Fighting Fantasy books the player character ages over the course of the story, beginning as a young boy with low SKILL and STAMINA scores. As the book progresses, the player increases in age, and the scores increase to reflect this. There is also a special attribute, FURY.
