The series was released in 1995, at the same time that the B–movie from which it is adapted. Stoker’s tale is about a group of women who leave or kill their abusive husbands and join together under the leadership of the Rat Queen. The Rat Queen can communicate with rats as well as order them to kill whoever she feels deserves to be murdered. These women captured the young Stoker as he traveled in a stagecoach with his father. Bram fought back, buying his father the time needed to escape. Bram was captured, however, and faced execution at the hands of the rat women. As it turned out, his ordeal was just beginning.
