This series focuses on the rough-and-ready adventures of the brave men in the Marines as seen from the eyes of a member of the Whittier family. The family had served the mighty force since the American Revolution, and in every war since. Now you can see for yourself what it must have been like to hide from the Viet Cong in the home of a Vietnamese stranger whom you can’t quite trust, or be one of the few who manages to take Tarawa Atoll in World War II when your best friend has just been killed as he was standing beside you.
The title, short for semper fidelis (Latin for “always faithful”) is the Marine Corps motto.
