SHERLOCK HOLMES VS DRACULA #1 SCARLET IN GASLIGHT COMIC BOOK
COLLECTORS ITEM FIRST ISSUE.
Two of literature’s most prominent characters meet in this black-and-white tale of horror. Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective Sherlock Holmes, and the ever-present Dr. Watson, are drawn into an adventure beyond anything they have ever experienced when they face the timeless evil of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Investigating a young woman’s mysterious illness, Holmes and Watson find her already under the care of Dr. Van Helsing, whose methods at first seem very odd. But when the two detectives find themselves battling her demonic attacker, they barely manage to survive. Unfortunately, the supremely logical mind of Sherlock Holmes is unable to reconcile his concept of reality with the obviously supernatural nature of his vampiric enemy. It appears that Dracula will have free rein to terrorize London, unless Watson and Van Helsing can bring Holmes back from the edge of insanity.

RARE and OUT OF PRINT COLLECTORS ITEM. SIR ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s brilliant, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes has been adapted numerous times in books, plays, movies, television, and comic books.
Sherlock Holmes has been one of the best-loved mystery detectives for over a century. He first appeared in the 1887 story, “A Study in Scarlet,” penned by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The story was a great success, and subsequent stories propelled Doyle and his detective to stardom.
In 1975, DC presented its version of Sherlock’s adventures in comic form. Issue #1 of this series presented two entire Sherlock Holmes mysteries: “The Final Problem” and “The Riddle of the Empty House.” The former story was meant to be Sherlock Holmes’ last adventure, ending with Holmes plummeting off an icy cliff along with his arch-enemy, Professor James Moriarty. Public outcry eventually led Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to resurrect Holmes much later, in “The Riddle of the Empty House.”
Strangely, this series lasted just one issue, even though its final page promised a second issue.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s brilliant sleuth and master of condescending repartee comes to the world of comics in this collection of newspaper strips from the 1950s reprinted by Eternity Comics. Since the series was originally published in newspapers, the panel layout is horizontal and necessitates the book be printed in “landscape” orientation.
Accompanied by his faithful, but often befuddled aide, Dr. Watson, Sherlock Holmes retains all of the incredible powers of observation and deduction that he is famous for from books and movies. The strip was written by Edith Meiser and drawn by Frank Giacoia, who went on to ink such luminaries as Carmine Infantino and Ross Andru.

The Cases of Sherlock Holmes had two purposes during its run. The first purpose was to retell the famous stories about the master detective as written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Renegade Press did this by actually reprinting the stories in their entirety, along with pen-and-ink illustrations. The series’ second purpose was to tell the biography of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Each issue of the series carried a few pages about the celebrated English author. The biography was written by Gordon Derry.
The Cases of Sherlock Holmes premiered in 1986 and was printed in black-and-white with painted covers.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s brilliant, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes has been adapted numerous times in books, plays, movies, television, and comic books. One of the best graphic treatments of the character was by illustrator Daniel Day during the 1980s. Day’s pulpbook, black-and-white, drypoint style was supplemented with blocks of typeset text from the actual Sherlock Holmes stories, an illustrated narrative.
In essence, each issue was a profusely illustrated version of a single Canonical tale with a fully painted cover by the brothers Day. Although Basil Rathbone was the most common inspiration for the look of Holmes, one can find traces of Peter Cushing, Arthur Wontner, Alan Wheatley, Robert Stephens, Christopher Plummer and John Barrymore as well. While many different actors inspired the look of Holmes, Watson was always drawn with Nigel Bruce firmly in mind. Dan Day noted that in a black and white medium, the difference in body type and coloring made for a good visual contrast between the slender dark-haired Holmes and the heavy fair-haired Watson.

BAKER STREET #1 COMIC BOOK. RARE and OUT OF PRINT COLLECTORS ITEMS.
A contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes filtered through a Punk sensibility.
"THE BASKERVILLES"
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The critically acclaimed series! Baker Street, the center of England’s punk movement in a London few would ever know, a life even less would ever see. Where being different is the rule, “ratting” the gambling vice of a city’s underground, and death is often around the next corner. Here is where mystery, intrigue, and suspense are more than a game to the residents of post Victorian London, it’s a way of life.
Baker Street, the name conjures up many images, mainly of Victorian London and the home of Sherlock Holmes.
A Sherlockian adventure set in an alternative but present day London. An England where World War II never happened and the Victorian era is resurrected into present day values. All of which only is the backdrop of the mysteries and a setting to clash with London's punk subculture.
A world unfolds as an American student takes up residence in a punk area of London which is mired in gang warfare, drugs, Goths, and a mysterious woman known as Harlequin who leads the way to keeping control of the near exploding area.

This black-and-white one-shot from writer Warren Ellis (The Authority) and Craig Gilmore (Morbius: The Living Vampire) faithfully adapts Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s short story about an exotic, foreign woman who has married a prominent British businessman and is discovered sucking the blood of her own child. In true Victorian-era fashion, rumors abound, and stories of the Sussex Vampire spread like wildfire. Can renowned detective Sherlock Holmes—along with his put-upon assistant Dr. Watson—get to the bottom of this mystery that has so gripped the English countryside, or will they, too, fall victim to the Sussex Vampire?

SHERLOCK HOLMES VS THE INVISIBLE MAN A CASE OF BLIND FEAR #1 COMIC BOOK
COLLECTORS ITEM FIRST ISSUE.
This black-and-white limited series by writer Martin Powell and artist Seppo Makinen is a worthy sequel to the excellent Scarlet In Gaslight, which brought detective Sherlock Holmes into conflict with Count Dracula. Here, Victorian-era Londoners are reporting mysterious, floating objects and apparitions with visible internal organs, and baffled officials at Scotland Yard have brought in super-sleuth Holmes to get to the bottom of these strange sightings. As it turns out, Holmes is in a battle of wits with none other than Hawley Griffin, the title character of H.G. Wells’s The Invisible Man. But what is Griffin’s connection with the Holmes’s partner, Dr. Watson? Curiouser and curiouser, eh?

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s brilliant, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes has been adapted numerous times in books, plays, movies, television, and comic books. One of the first graphic treatments of the character was by illustrator Leo O’Mealia during the 1930s. O’Mealia’s pulpbook, black-and-white, drypoint style was supplemented with blocks of typeset text from the actual Sherlock Holmes stories, making the strip more of an illustrated narrative than a comic strip per se.
Eternity, a division of Malibu Comics, reprinted the stories in a series of handsome, 32-page, black-and-white issues, with the participation of the San Francisco Academy of Comic Art. Each features a complete story of Holmes and his faithful friend Dr. Watson solving crimes through observation and deduction. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
