WIZARD OF OZ COMIC BOOK #1 TIN MAN WICKED DARK FANTASY DOROTHY SCARECROW LIION!!

WIZARD OF OZ #1 COMIC BOOK. RARE and OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND FIRST ISSUE COLLECTOR'S ITEM FEATURING THE DARKER SIDE OF OZ! Dark Oz is a comic book updating of L. Frank Baum's Land of Oz series. In much th same way WICKED created a different way of looking at characters that we grew up with. This series predated Wicked by a number of years. A magical tome transports three adolescents and the obligatory dog to the land of Oz, several years after Dorothy’s jaunt. The land is now dark and foreboding. Evil rules in the form of the Nome King. The original heroes are under his thrall. Writers Stuart Kerr and Ralph Griffith extrapolate from Frank L. Baum’s concepts, introducing new, fantastic creatures, and endowing them with much of the charm of the original stories. Much care and thought has gone into this classically styled fairy tale, which is suitable for young and old kids alike. I Oz is based on the characters and “history” from the series of fourteen childrens books written by L. Frank Baum. Writers Ralph Griffith and Stuart Kerr created an updated and unique world, no longer whimsical, but still lots of fun. While the triple threat of Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man play prominent roles, Griffith and Kerr mined that magical country for the myriad of bizarre, yet endearing secondary characters which populate it. A RARE EXCLUSIVE THAT WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN MASS MARKET OUTLETS AND COULD ONLY BE FOUND IN COMIC BOOK SPECIALTY STORES!

PUNK SHERLOCK HOLMES BAKER STREET COMIC BOOK #1 '89 CALIBER PRESS VINTAGE 80's!!

BAKER STREET #1 COMIC BOOK.
RARE and OUT OF PRINT COLLECTORS ITEMS.

A contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes filtered through a Punk sensibility.

"THE BASKERVILLES"

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The critically acclaimed series! Baker Street, the center of England’s punk movement in a London few would ever know, a life even less would ever see. Where being different is the rule, “ratting” the gambling vice of a city’s underground, and death is often around the next corner. Here is where mystery, intrigue, and suspense are more than a game to the residents of post Victorian London, it’s a way of life.

Baker Street, the name conjures up many images, mainly of Victorian London and the home of Sherlock Holmes.

A Sherlockian adventure set in an alternative but present day London. An England where World War II never happened and the Victorian era is resurrected into present day values. All of which only is the backdrop of the mysteries and a setting to clash with London's punk subculture.

A world unfolds as an American student takes up residence in a punk area of London which is mired in gang warfare, drugs, Goths, and a mysterious woman known as Harlequin who leads the way to keeping control of the near exploding area.

SHERLOCK HOLMES
THE SUSSEX VAMPIRE COMIC BOOK

COLLECTORS ITEM FIRST ISSUE.

This black-and-white one-shot from writer Warren Ellis (The Authority) and Craig Gilmore (Morbius: The Living Vampire) faithfully adapts Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s short story about an exotic, foreign woman who has married a prominent British businessman and is discovered sucking the blood of her own child. In true Victorian-era fashion, rumors abound, and stories of the Sussex Vampire spread like wildfire. Can renowned detective Sherlock Holmes—along with his put-upon assistant Dr. Watson—get to the bottom of this mystery that has so gripped the English countryside, or will they, too, fall victim to the Sussex Vampire?

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW COMIC BOOK.

Rare vintage collector's item.
Based on the Classic Cult Film! Featuring lavish full color artwork, printed on high quality paper.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the ultimate cult movie. Produced on a shoestring budget, its combination of schmaltz, sex, and song proved infectious. Fifteen years after its release the movie was still going strong, playing to packed audiences at midnight showings. The trick is that nobody really goes to see the movie—they go to see the show: the parade of costumed moviegoers who perform routines, sass back at the actors onscreen, and do the “Time Warp” dance in the aisles.

In honor of the film’s fifteenth anniversary, Caliber released a comic adaptation in 1990. In addition to telling the story of normal couple Brad and Janet who fall into the clutches of the mad (and transvestite) Dr. Frank-n-Furter, it also included movie song lyrics, interviews with the stars, and “chorus” lines that let Rocky “virgins” know what the routine is when they go see the movie.

In addition to the adaptation of the cult hit. Features the "Rockyphile"-interviews, chronology, profile of Richard O'Brien, and song lyrics, prop list, RHPS official merchandise and audience participation guide.

These items were never available in any mass market retail outlet and was only sold in comic book specialty stores.

Highly sought after.

STARRING THE SCARECROW AND SCRAPS
RARE and OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND FIRST ISSUE COLLECTOR'S ITEM FEATURING THE DARKER SIDE OF OZ!

Dark Oz is a comic book updating of L. Frank Baum's Land of Oz series. In much th same way WICKED created a different way of looking at characters that we grew up with. This series predated Wicked by a number of years.

Set in the world of OZ as it concentrates on Scarecrow and his tattered lover, Scraps. Set in the days when the Scarecrow was under the evil rule of the amulet, Scraps must decide which side to join.

Discovering their betrayal by Patchwork Girl, the Freedom Fighters launch a guerilla assault upon the Scarecrow’s barn. They unfortunately discover that the Scarecrow has built an army of his own through the magic of Magician Pipt. An army of straw golems stands Scarecrow and the Freedom Fighters, with Scraps caught in the middle.

Oz is based on the characters and “history” from the series of fourteen childrens books written by L. Beginning with a tribute to the original story, The Wizard of Oz.
