HUGE GAME RULE BOOK. Fantastic Reference Guide!
"IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE THERE IS ONLY WAR."

Warhammer 40,000 (informally known as Warhammer 40K, WH40K, W40K or just 40K) is a science fantasy game produced by Games Workshop. The game depicts combat between the armies of the fictional universe of the 41st millennium

In the nightmare future of the 41st millennium, Mankind teeters upon the brink of extinction. The galaxy-spanning Imperium of Man is beset on all sides by ravening aliens, and threatened from within by malevolent creatures and heretic rebels.

Only the strength of the Immortal Emperor of Terra stands between Humanity and its annihilation. Dedicated to His service are the countless warriors, agents and myriad servants of the Imperium. Foremost amongst them stand the Space Marines, mentally and physically engineered to be the supreme fighting force, the ultimate protectors of Mankind.

Wars rage over airless moons, in the dark, twisted depths of hive worlds and in the cold wastes between stars. From the immaterial realm of warp space, malicious entities send their unspeakable minions to slaughter the Emperor's chosen. Everywhere, soulless spectres and slavering monsters are poised to extinguish the life of Humanity.

Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop battle game for two or more players.

Inside you will find:

RULES: How armies move and fight over the tabletop.
SCENARIOS: Fourteen missions for your armies to undertake, plus how to run your own campaigns and rules for troops gaining experience.
ARMY LISTS: Details of the many different armies fighting in the 41st millennium, and guidelines for organising the force under your command.
AGE OF THE IMPERIUM: Information on the galaxy-spanning Imperium and the many and varied threats that face Mankind.
PLUS: how to collect your own army, as well as great artwork, stories, game templates, designer's notes and more!

The third edition of the game concentrated on streamlining the rules for larger battles. Third edition rules were notably simpler, and less prone to use arbitrary or overly powerful abilities than the previous editions, in an attempt to combat the trend towards small armies made up of small and powerful individuals.
