ALAN MOORE BIG NUMBERS GRAPHIC NOVEL BILL SIENKIEWICZ 1990 MANDELBROT WATCHMEN!!

ALAN MOORE'S BIG NUMBERS GRAPHIC NOVEL FROM THE ACCLAIMED CREATOR OF WATCHMEN! RARE and OUT OF PRINT. Talented artist Bill Sienkiewicz and ace writer Alan Moore teamed up in 1990 to produce Big Numbers, meant as a twelve issue tour-de-force. Unfortunately, the project fell apart and only two issues were ever published before the series went on indefinite hiatus. Although it’s difficult to tell where the series was meant to end up, it begins with a homecoming. Author Christine Gathercole had left Hampton when she had gotten pregnant, but a little operation took care of that problem. Later, she had found success as a writer in London, but peace continued to elude her. But if peace was what she searched for upon returning home to Hampton, it was going to be an uphill struggle. Hampton was a city in decay where cutbacks were forcing the psych wards to release inmates, and the ghosts of the past were everywhere. And now, Hampton had been chosen as the site for a huge and bizarre development project. EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM! Published by MAD LOVE.

* Paperback: 80 pages
* Publisher: Airwave Publishing (December 28, 2005)
* ISBN-10: 0972480579
* ISBN-13: 978-0972480574

Product Description
Alan Moore Spells It Out marks the first print appearance of one of the most in-depth interviews ever conducted with this celebrated writer. Even better, its focus is Moore’s approach to creating art, with special attention paid to his thoughts on magic, its relationship with language and with creativity, and tons of stuff on making good comics…. This is something that’s more like overhearing a great conversation between a couple of good buddies than reading an interview, however good it might be. Bill managed to provide Alan with the perfect forum for the kind of discussion which is rarely heard these days, much less captured on tape. Everyone who’s read the mock up, or even had a chance to glance through the Alan Moore-approved transcript, has gotten pretty excited by what they’ve seen.

Alan Moore Spells It Out presents a three-plus hour interview on creativity with the celebrated scribe of From Hell, Watchmen, V for Vendetta and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Conducted by veteran comics journalist Bill Baker, whose work has been featured in magazines like Sketch, Comic Book Marketplace, and Cinefantastique, the discussion covers the entire length and breadth of Moore's career and touches on everything from his early efforts creating the Maxwell the Magic Cat cartoon strip as a teen to his most recent efforts on the ABC line of books. Alan Moore Spells It Out: On Comics, Creativity, Magic and much, much more is a book that will interest both the hard core fan as well as the casual reader of comics, and will prove of real and lasting value to anyone who'd like to learn how to create their own masterpieces. 6x8 Four color cover, 80 interior pages with a few B&W images

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ALAN MOORE BATMAN ANNUAL #11 COMIC BOOK!
RARE and OUT OF PRINT.

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM WHICH INCLUDES A STORY WRITTEN BY ALAN MOORE (THE ACCLAIMED WRITER OF THE WATCHMEN).

Alan Moore, writer of the top-selling graphic novels V FOR VENDETTA and WATCHMEN, writes a Tale of the GREEN LANTERN CORPS.

Alan Moore's Mortal Clay: Batman Annual No. 11 is similar to the The Killing Joke in that it gives similar treatment of Batman and his relationship to the villain. The stories focus on the psychology of the villain and their motivations and psychosis. Mortal Clay is the story of Clayface III.

Clayface suffers from what psychologists might term an object relations disorder. He loves a manikin that he thinks is his wife (who died in the fire that turned him into Clayface), and apparently has the same relationship with the manikin that he had with his deceased wife. The story does a good job displaying the obsessive psychology of Batman’s villains.

Annual 11 featured two stories with a "Villains In Love" theme. The first was by Alan Moore and George Freeman and featured Clayface's insane obsession with a mannequin. Alan Moore's Batman wants to both stop the bad guy and then help him reform.

The second story is a Max Collins and Norm Breyfogle Penguin story wherein he tries to reform for his love, but fouls up trying to do something good.

Published by DC COMICS in 1997.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

About the Author
Alan Moore is one of the most respected and admired writers in comics today. His credits include The Ballad of Halo Jones, Watchmen, V For Vendetta and Swamp Thing. His own line of ABC Comics, including Tom Strong, Top Ten, and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen has been a massive success.

OUT OF PRINT. HARD TO FIND COLLECTOR'S ITEM.

Product Description
In The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore, the reclusive British author tells his own story, speaking enthusiastically and passionately about his life and work in an extensive series of interviews! Moore displays his trademark wit and shares his unique insight on the comics that have shaped his legendary career—from his beginnings on Swamp Thing and Watchmen to the current success of his own America's Best Comics and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and beyond – all of his most important works and major themes are discussed.

Editor George (Kimota!) Khoury has assembled rare strips, scripts, artwork and photographs of the author, most never published before.

It also features Moore’s closest collaborators elaborating on their relationships with Moore in comic book form, from Neil Gaiman, Dave Gibbons, and Sam Kieth to Kevin O’Neill, Brian Bolland, Rick Veitch, and others, plus an artistic tribute by Alex Ross, and a new cover by Dave McKean! Included are the rare Moore stories "Pictopia," "Lust," his unseen work on Judge Dredd, and more! ! This is the definitive autobiographical work on Moore, over two years in the making!

Moore reflects on his life and work in an insightful and candid fashion through an extensive series of interviews about his entire legendary career, including new interviews.

* Paperback: 224 pages
* Publisher: TwoMorrows Publishing (August 6, 2002)
* Language: English
* ISBN-10: 1893905241
* ISBN-13: 978-1893905245

Khoury marks Alan Moore's exalted status in the comics world on the occasion of Moore's fiftieth birthday. The centerpiece of the volume is a lengthy interview with the reclusive writer, touching upon everything from his early days as an aspiring comics fan to his recently announced retirement from mainstream comics. More compelling, perhaps, is the bounty of rare material reprinted here, ranging from strips a teenaged Moore wrote--and drew (!)--for the British music press to obscure stories, photographs, and examples of his famously detailed scripts. Tributes from some of Moore's most renowned friends and collaborators, including Neil Gaiman, Dave Gibbons, Brian Bolland, Rick Veitch, and Alex Ross, round out the text, and a comprehensive bibliography of Moore's work should delight collectors even as it makes them despair of ever acquiring all the prolific writer's publications. This celebration of comics' most acclaimed author should prove exhaustive enough to satisfy even the most obsessed of Moore's legion of fans.

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM WRITTEN BY ALAN MOORE (CREATOR OF THE WATCHMEN) AND DRAWN BY SPAWN CREATOR TODD MACFARLANE!

Violator is Spawn’s oldest and most deadly enemy. He appears to be a fat, psychotic clown—dangerous enough in his own right. However, he’s also a powerful demon from Hell, and can revert to his true form whenever serious carnage is called for.

Pits Spawn’s worst enemy, Violator, a demon spawned by Hell, against Badrock, the Youngblood member and behemoth made of rock.

The tale begins when the government sponsors a group of scientists to capture and study the Violator. They know of his existence because of an earlier battle between him and Spawn. Badrock is brought in by the scientists since he is already on the government payroll. After capturing Violator in a well-planned trap, the scientists believe that their work is finished. They ask Badrock to stick around, however, “just in case.”

The scientists’ request turns out to be a wise move because the Violator breaks free, kills most of the project personnel, and tries to escape. Badrock really hates to lose and the two duke it out in an epic battle.

RARE and OUT OF PRINT. COVER BY BRIAN BOLLAND (BATMAN THE KILLING JOKE).

HARD TO FIND COLLECTORS ITEM WITH A STORY WRITTEN BY ALAN MOORE (THE ACCLAIMED WRITER OF THE WATCHMEN)!

D.R. and Quinch is a comic strip created by Alan Moore and Alan Davis. The strip was the tale of how two alien teenage students Waldo "D.R." (for "Diminished Responsibility") Dobbs, a scheming criminal mastermind (who with his pointed ears, green flesh, and furrowed chin, resembled a Skrull), and Ernest Errol Quinch, his muscular purple skinned companion in crime, have influenced Earth's history in various anarchic ways.

Also includes a JUDGE DREDD story and a STRONTIUM DOG story.

Presenting stories from the legendary British comic series, 2000 A.D., this title is a hyperactive romp through an ultra-violent future. Starring Judge Dredd, the final word in law enforcement officers, it also included backup stories featuring Strontium Dog, and a couple of high-tech, homicidal, joy-riding aliens named D.R. (for “Diminished Responsibility”) and Quinch.

For all its quirkiness, 2000 A.D. Monthly is a terribly funny black comedy. It comes highly recommended for anyone capable of thinking of a thorium bomb as a comic prop.

The stories in this issue were presented for the first time in FULL COLOR!
