HAT SQUAD GRAPHIC NOVEL LAPD MULHULLAND FALLS TRUE CRIME

THE HAT SQUAD Graphic Novel
RARE AND OUT OF PRINT COLLECTOR'S ITEM.
Featuring lavish full color artwork printed on high quality paper.
Published by Moonstone in 2002.
the Hat Squad actually existed. They were a group of LAPD homicide detectives operating in the fifties who wore fedoras, stuck together and believed firmly that the rights of criminals could be dealt with through the delicate persuasion of broken bones and split lips. They're the kind of police officers, who though honest to a fault, Elliot Ness--though no choirboy himself-- may have arrested out of principle.
Mr. Faerber finds a new home for the Hats in comic books. A very slight romanticization sees our heroes mowing through the type of sleazy fifties gangsters immortalized in such movies as Chinatown. The members of the Hat Squad were the stars of film Mullholland Falls as well as a short-lived television series.

Kolchak the Night Stalker. A much-rumored lost TV episode script has been found! When the show was over, there were a couple of scripts left lying around unfilmed. Few people have ever laid eyes on these puppies, but we got them now! Never before seen in any offical form!
Before the X-Files, there was Carl Kolchak, TV's first paranormal investigator (played with style and pinache by Darren McGavin)!
Product Description
Kolchak the Night Stalker: Lambs to the Slaughter: Kolchak investigates a spree of "typical" missing persons cases in Hollywood. Tinsel Town dreams led the poor kids astray, right? It's an old story told here, but exactly how old is sure to come to a shock to Carl. Like a run away train going downhill towards a field of scared bunny rabbits, Kolchak plows his way through (and over) the truth. How about genetic experiments covered up by unknown forces? How about Kolchak unwittingly trying to smooth talk his way into signing his own death warrant? How about Kolchak having a single iota of luck, just this one time? Please? And hey, Carl, how about getting your own cup of coffee and leaving Ron's alone for once?
"In "Lambs to the Slaughter", Kolchak has to find a series of missing teenagers in the cesspool of downtown Hollywood. What does a wealthy industrialist and his genetic manipulation dreams of having a son have to do with it? And is there a mythical monster lying in wait for these kids, as well as for Kolchak? Against all spine-tingling odds, it's up to Kolchak to find out, and survive long enough to let the truth be known!
Moonstone's Kolchak: The Night Stalker graphic novel is based on an unproduced script for the show's never to be second season. When the series was cancelled the scripts were shelved. Now fans can get an idea of the shows that might have been if Kolchak: The Night Stalker had been allowed a second season. The visuals are almost photographic in capturing the look of the series and thedialog rings true. These adaptations and original stories are essential for any Kolchak fan. Highly recommended.

Product Description
Kolchak the Night Stalker: Get of Belial: A much-rumored lost TV episode script has been found! When the show was over, there were a couple of scripts left lying around unfilmed. Few people have ever laid eyes on these puppies, but we got them now! Never before seen in any offical form! Kolchak heads down to Winship County, West Virginia to get the lowdown on a heated miner's strike. When the mine's bossman is violently torn to shreds the ovious answer is one of the hard-hats just couldn't take it anymore. The M.E. rules a pick axe did him in. A miner's tool. And when a striker gets it in the exact same manner? Must be retribution. Sure, Carl buys that one-and Kris Kringle flies around in a black helicopter on Christmas Eve!
Moonstone's second Kolchak: The Night Stalker graphic novel is based on an unproduced script for the show's never to be second season. When the series was cancelled the scripts were shelved. Now fans can get an idea of the shows that might have been if Kolchak: The Night Stalker had been allowed a second season.
Carl is sent to West Virginia (Winship County to be exact) to cover a tension filled strike at a local mine. When the mine owner is savagely murdered the Sheriff thinks that it might be a few strike frustrated miners working out their differences in a more brutal fashion. But the type of wounds don't hint at a beating, it's more like a mauling. When two more people are murdered, Kolchak begins to dig a bit deeper and what he uncovers is an evil far older than that of mere mankind.
The visuals are almost photographic in capturing the look of the series and thedialog rings true. These adaptations and original stories are essential for any Kolchak fan. Highly recommended.
Before X-Files, there was only one primo paranormal investigator, reporter Carl Kolchak.
Approved by the character's creator, Jeff Rice, you can be sure the integrity of the character will remain intact.
Kolchak: The Night Stalker was an American television series that aired on ABC in 1974. It featured a newspaper reporter — Carl Kolchak, played by Darren McGavin — who investigates crimes with mysterious and unlikely causes that the proper authorities won't accept or pursue. The series was preceded by two television movies, The Night Stalker (1972) and The Night Strangler (1973). It is often credited as the inspiration for The X-Files
